Cyanide chat

So I finally got the game and have been enjoying developing Orc Dwarf and Chaos teams to a high TV, the AI isnt that bad really, it does GFI a lot and isnt very good at setting up successive blocks but that is neither her nor there
What Im wondering is, I have heard rumours that something big is in the works but cyanide are keeping tight lipped about what exactly, anyone got any speculation or info? I read between the lines of what one of the cyanide guys said in reply to a poster who said he wasnt expecting the game to be completely finished, but this enarion guy said that he should expect to be pleasantly surprised, so who knows. There are rumours that Norse and Undead are going to be added next. I wouldnt mind paying £1 to buy a new race such as Nurgle, or £10 for the full set of missing races along with a more challenging AI!
Also, has anyone tried the blitz mode, i had a quick whizz at the realtime mode and seemed a bit ridiculous, wood elves trouncing me 2 Tds within 30 seconds! i reckon if they had concentrated on adding all the races in and making it proper CRP then it might have sold better, and possibly killed off fumbbl. I liked how fast it was to get a game after creating an account, within 2 minutes I was playing some Chaos!
Ive spent £10 on the game so far and Ive certainly felt its been worth it, maybe not £40 though!

I got the game at £40 and have not been disappointed. The lack of races can lead to some very bash heavy leagues and the AI can be easily beaten on any setting, but the game itself is fantastic fun...
I hope they add Norse & Undead and maybe Halflings in a mass release next, but honestly I have no idea.
Blitz mode features aging so I avoided it like the plague once I realised.

I prefer the blitz mode since it's actually closer to lrb5 than classic mode (since classic doesn't have bloodweiser babes and scrolls).
I also like the additions of sponsors and that you have to re-negotiate your players contracts when they run out. I haven't seen any ageing though; are you sure?

oh yes, you are probably playing well and winning matches.....
after about 2-3 seasons all of a sudden you will prepare to start a match and a player will be missing, wtf you think... he is my star runner/blitzer always in the thick of the action... I need him, he wins me games...
Cyanide put in a score which gets whittled down the more the player gets hit/knocked over/injured....
I was playing Dwarves and had won 4 seasons straight, went to start a fifth and noticed that 3 players were gone... looked into it and saw this random score thingamajig got peed off and switched to classic... yes no babes.. but no damn aging

Yeah they had something like that in the 2nd Chaos League game, where your players suffered wear and tear
One question, how the heck do you declare a blitz standing beside someone then move off once its been resolved, it will only let me block just now

And you are sure it's not because their contracts ran out?
I did notice that some of my players were suddenly missing after a few seasons, but then I found them up for hire when I was looking to buy players to replace them.

You have to click the blitz-icon to the right.

You click 'blitz' icon on the right hand panel. I also found out recently that you can pass to an empty square by holding down left ALT. Havn't tried it myself yet.

Yep, you found it out the hard way, right? With my Gutter runner tossing the ball out of your range
You can also press 'B' to initiate a blitz. It's useful to check the back of the manual for the other keys as well.

Great thanks guys!
My Orcs were 3-0 in their first 3 games, was well on course to win 2-0 in the 4th game when 2 misclicks cost me 2 TD so I lost 2-1

both were blitzes, one I misclicked the player to dodge into 3 TZ instead of hit the ballcarrier, then the second I had the ball and tried to blitz the adjacent player and run into the cage i had made but I had hit block instead so he was ganged up on lol

You can also select which rules you want to apply and which you don't in Blitz mode.
My league runs the extended inducements (Babes, Scrolls, etc) but doesn't have aging or renegotiating contracts.

Leap is press the "L" key mate.
Will need a "B" key first then mid move, the L for a blitz with leap

People have gotten better at it since the game just came out but all my teams still have win rates between 80 and 90% in match maker. Just need to keep your team lean and mean.
