Sounds reasonable. You pay me a £10 if one of us wins, I pay you £20 if you win. No payout in the event that it's another club. Do we have ourselves a little wager?

OK Geoff, you're on! No nobbling my team now, although if you want to get me drunk to help me lose games I won't say no to free beer

(The only worrying thing is every time I bet on how I'm going to do in a tournament I lose at least half my games, and lose the bet. Clearly can't cope with the pressure!).

Gortex: You may be able to but probably not at such short notice. Go to www.players-society.com and ask. Probably the best thing to offer is to turn up in case of an odd number of players, and only play if there is.
