Eucalyptus Bowl 2007 is thinking of using the following rules for team creation. Its 6 rounds - pure swiss and no final. The team you choose now would be the one to play every single game.
What I'm particularly interested is in seeing the cheesiest min/max combos you can think of so we can decide if the idea is a good one or not. Some explanation of why you think your choices are the ultimate cheese would be great.
Rules:
Teams are TV125
All cash must be spent
You can purchase any inducements or star players you want except cards.
No player can be given a stat increase
No player with Loner/Secret Weapon or an Ogre can be given a "double"
Star players cannot be given more skills
A maximum of one additional skill per player.
Have fun...

Hi Ian. I'm seriously starting to consider attending this event as I could be one of the participants at the ICHC21 meeting in Sydney 15-20 July.
I think it's hard to exploit the rules in LRB5 as you'd like us to try and do. Sure, I could go with four guard DE blitzers, but I still think I'd prefer them with blodge all around 'as usual'!
I'm thinking something like a standard DE tourney team:
Dark elves 1250000
11 players 770000
4 blitzers 120000
assassin 20000
2 witches 80000
2 rerolls 100000
1 fan factor 10000
multiblock 30000
blodge witches 40000
blodge blitzers 80000
The multi-stab assassin sure is nice but will be a major target. Or maybe a 4-mummy-block-menace (totalling 13 players including the chainsaw):
Khemri 1250000
12 players 360000
4 mummies 320000
2 thowers 80000
star chainsaw 90000
3 rerolls 210000
4 block 120000
leader 30000
2 block 40000
I don't know. I think the rules set looks good.

Well I think you can guarantee the most travelled if you do make it! I won't actually be there as I'll be in the UK - but Virral & Rabid Bogscum are running the event in my absence.
I thought an all blodge 'zon roster might be annoying to play against.
4 Blitzers + guard = 440
8 Line + block = 560
250 for 4 rerolls + apoth.
Another 'zon roster would be to drop a reroll and give 5 line women guard and all the blitzers mighty blow. You could even drop the apoth and give all the linewomen guard
12 Guarding dodgers would be possible

I'd defo drop the LRB5 apothecary, absolutely useless in a resurrection tourney anyway. Yeah, that team would be annoying to play against. I guess I am not that good at growing beardy ideas (or a beard for that matter).
I have dropped the plans for the Eucalyptus Bowl now, however, as the dates are too far apart. If there are any warm-up games going on the week before I would like to know and I could bring a couple of teams anyway! Also, I would be delighted to recieve any advice from locals on what to do in Sydney during the dates I will be there (13-22 July).
