Running a Newish-Player Oriented Tournie

Post by Iranian Spy »

Howdy folks,

I am due to run a tournament that is designed to get more people in our area playing and thinking about Blood Bowl and create some groundswell for other more established/competitive tournaments. To that end I'm looking for advice to keep things fun for both newer players and more competitive ones who are tournament regulars.

How would you do this if you were running a similar tournament?

The first thought that comes to mine is creating a prize system to cater for each kind of player - i.e. Wooden Spoon, Best Coach and also maybe something like an Unluckiest Player award (person who rolled the most double skulls)

Spot prizes each round can be popular, first TD, first doubleskull, first death etc. usually gives away a figure or something similar and doesn't really depend on ability.
