Albion Coast Cup 2007 unlikely

Hi all
Just for an update for those avid Fellowship drinkers. There is unlikely to be an official ACC 2007 this year as Emberbreeze is out of the country, and Mrs VB is expecting VB Jr at the end of August.
It's a damn shame, especially as last year was fantastic dispite the continuing drop in numbers (shame on the rest of you).
Hope to return to normal in 2008.

Well congrats again on the family Simon, I am sure Emma doesnt mind a few jokes about "what sort of lizard are we expecting" etc etc.
But it is a shame about the AC.... been to all 3 so far...see how goes, might give you a hand if there is enough interest unless PK goes to that weekend as it;s a bank holiday.

Congrats Simon.
That's a shame, though it was probably unlikely I could have defended my title this year anyway.

Well.....when then?
I wasnt as such suggesting it, I think we need to give a date well in advance. We did this last year... leave it until the last min etc. By NAF rules, for a tourney to be ranked, there has to be 8 weeks notice so that is already mid/late April. We have the BB in May and that gives June - July - Aug as Carnage is in sept.
June has Carrot Crunch already, July is Bognor tourney but without ACC, the BH weekend has no tourney, so why not use PKQ?
There is Newquay in early Aug, a Tritex tourney in June or July, let alone some foreign tourneys that are popular so when else??

bank holiday weekends are probably not a good idea for those of us with families unless you want to host the tourney on a cliff top at a dorset campsite.

Yeah, no sooner had I posted that Hangus said much the same thing on MSN chat. As I say, not suggesting it..... thinking out loud kinda thing.

Oh yeah, sorry man, as someone else suggested, if you could sort the venue man, if the worse came to the worse there would be a few TO's there (myslef included this year, I should be driving by then) we could do the points for you??
Would that mean it could still go ahead? Even if Emma went into labour?

[Going off-topic] But I am extremely p*ssed off now.
I'm missing the Newquay Bowl this year because we've arranged a family holiday for about that time as we had my sister-in-laws wedding to go to, in Cyprus.
Today it was called off.
Wouldn't mind so much, but we booked the holiday for the peek time, and it coincides with my birthday, just for the DAMNED WEDDING!!! Hell, could have saved ourselves a couple of hundred quid at least, just by moving the holiday forward or back a couple of weeks.
