Last year we met at this greece restaurant like the years before. But instead of the about 15 coaches, which told before to come to this place, nearly 40 turned up

...so, i guess, the kitchen was a bit overburden and the meals werent so good than the year before...
I´m not sure if i will turn up after a workday and some driving... but where is this pub/kneipe/bar/restaurant the english coaches were talking about ? Any name or location ? Just in case...
@Tim and Frank. As we staying in the same hotel, maybe we should "call us together "? Just in case we are all to tired for the big party?

I'm still looking for train tickets. Damn - no cheap tickets are available at the moment, even for 1st class...
In any case it will be the most expensive Dungeonbowl since years.

As I will leave from Davos not before 1pm I won't show up on Friday evening.
So we will see us on Saturday morning- maybe in Round 1 Traveller.

Well, as i didnt hear from another location yet, i guess, some people like me will end at "the Greek" again.

But this time i didnt checked for "open" or made some reservations!!
My ETA Duesseldorf will be between 7 and 8pm.
From tomorrow I will be away from TBB and will check thursday, if something new was posted here.
@Tim, Frank and Marc... lets keep in contact using sms for last moment directions.

Hi Traveller,
I will drive with Jo by car and I hope that we can start in Stuttgart after lunch. Jo is staying at the Youth hotel, so this would be the first stop. Then we will drive to my (and your) hotel.
Unfortunately Lycos and Co. will not come to the Dungeonbowl this year, so I think the greek restaurant will not have stress this year...
For diner I would prefer Japanese food. We found a small restaurant last year. But I will call you when we arrive in Duesseldorf.
cheers

Japanese Food ??? Sounds like expensive and fish meals... and i dont like fish!!
But, if there are other meals without fish and other maybe still living stuff i like to try a japanse restaurante, too.

Just give me a call later.

Don't worry. We had no fish, it was more like Wok. And cheap, it was not a luxury restaurant - kind of small fast-food restaurant.
So not suited to meet all the coaches for drinking - for this the greek restaurant is better...

OK, so... where IS everybody meeting for an "Alt" at Friday? Never been to the DB before, still don't know the location of the "GReek" - but if not meeting for dinner anyway, why not go to the "Uerige" (sp.) ?

This is the address of the Greek restaurant (copied from the topic Dungeonbowl from last year):
Delphi
Karlstrasse 129
Duesseldorf
In my opinion the food wasn't good there.
BTW In the same topic Lucifer recommended this restaurant:
lucifer wrote:Zum Schiffchen
Hafenstrasse 5

We ate here on the Monday and the food was very good, and reasonable prices (though they only had one vegetarian option) with very quick service. The restuarant is split across two adjoining buildings and is in the heart of the Altstadt so plenty of chance to visit other bars nearby. It looks like it gets busy so probably best to book ahead or just take a gamble

Don't know if we should try to change the location?
