What does everyone want to do Friday/Saturday night? My suggestion would be Friday night meeting in town for everyone to get a good look at the sights and sounds that Toon life has to offer! Then Saturday we can mass book a resteraunt and I'll try and get a set meal. Will scour the interwebs for some phone numbers this weekend and book something if enough are interested?

Thoughts? Preferences on food? Abuse? Stripper-frenzy?

Got Lycos and Gumbo staying over at mine in Shields arriving midnight so me and Schmee will either:

-get the last metro back to Shields to meet them
-get them to meet us in toon at midnight

Option one might make the most sense for the potentially weary travellers, but we'll see how it gans...

I'll sort a meal for Saturday night, anyone NOT want to come? I'll book for 20 and tell them to be flexible!

Any idea what time the majority will arrive - I'm staying at the venue so will be looking to meet up with people from there. I assume the Osborne's drinking game I cracked as a student is still going?

Scalini's is booked for 7 o'clock, couldn't do a fixed menu, but I'm sure we're big enough to work it out for ourselves! They said the menus are available at the venue reception anyway, so I'll bring a few in and pass them round during the day, so hopefully we walk next door and foods already in the oven.

I'm planning on being in the Wetherspoons pub (The Union Rooms) from about seven, and staying there for a couple of hours at least. Its two minutes from the station (Ask anyone and they'll point at it for you!), and is huge inside so should be easy to find a corner to sit in. After that we'll cruise round town and get mortal, huzzah!

Who else is planning on getting in Friday night for some beers?

Ah, the good ole Union Rooms. I'll be getting into Toon around 6.30pm, so will probably drop me stuff off in Jesmond and head back in.
