I found the best little bar to hold a tournament. Would there be interest in coming to the Binghamton, NY area to play one or two days of BB at a bar?

I would love to guage interest and know when is a good time to hold a tournament.

thanks in advance!

Several! :) I'm based out of Boston but wouldn't be adverse to a NY trip for a tourney. A group of us just got back from I-CON in Stoney Brook NY as a matter of fact, though sadly attendence was a bit low there this year. Still a great time overall and we're always looking for more events.

Draft Rules for Pub Bowl 2011, Thoughts?

1) Grog of Strength:
Player gains +2 Strength, Really Stupid, Loner, and Combustion.

2) Grog of Madness:
Player gains +1 Movement, Frenzy, Juggernaut, Wild Animal, Loner, and Combustion.

3) Grog of Pestilence:
Player gains Disturbing Presence, Foul Appearance, Fend, Animosity, and Combustion.

4) Grog of Blood:
Player gains Claw, Mighty Blow, Piling On, Blood Lust, No Hands, Loner, and Combustion.

5) Grog of Fortification:
Player gains +2 Armor, Stand Firm, Thick Skull, Bonehead, and Combustion.

6) Grog of Speed:
Player gains +2 Movement, +1 Agility, Sprint, Loner, and Combustion (this player also starts off PRIMED).

Combustion - Roll a D8 after declaring this players action. On a roll of 1, this player is feeling strange and is considered PRIMED. If the player is already PRIMED that player explodes. Treat this explosion as a wizards fireball with the middle square being the player's square. This player is dead and cannot be apoed, regenerated, or resurrected. Combustion rolls may not be rerolled. This does not cause a turnover unless a player on the current player's team is knocked over and had the ball. At the end of your turn make a combustion roll for each player that did not take an action or who is in the reserves. If a player explodes in the reserves treat all other players in the reserves as being hit by a fireball (roll 4+).

You must purchase at least one Grog. Grog can be purchased for 10k (may only purchase one of each Grog). A player may only drink one grog brew before a match. When you purchase a Grog as part of your roster, it must be drank by a player before each match (may change players between matches). Roll a d8 and consult the Grog Chart before each match:

Grog Chart:
1 - It's Poison! Place the player in the KO box.
2 - It's just beer! Nothing happens.
3 - It's something else! Roll a d6 to determine what Grog you drank.
5-8 - It's exactly what you ordered. The player gains the skills and stat changes as per the grog you purchased.

1.1 million Gold to build your roster (all inducements are allowed) and chose one of the following skill packages:

Cannot assign more than 1 skill to a player.
1) 4 Normal Skills
2) 2 Normal Skills and 1 Doubles Skill
3) 2 Doubles Skills
4) Pub Bowl PARTY!!! Roll a d6 for each player. On a 5-6 they drink a random Grog. Do this before each match. Gain a Bloodwieser Babe. (This is done before assigning rostered Grogs to players.)

On the Kickoff table, replace Pitch Invasion with Pub Bowl Party Time!!!

Both coaches roll a D6 for each opposing player on the pitch. If a roll is 6, then that player drinks a random Grog. If that player is already under the influence of a Grog, then the player is Stunned (players with the Ball & Chain skill are KO'd) and loses all abilities from Grog.
