Flame Bowl @ the Poobowl Team tournement? Feedback required
Right then. Feedback wanted,
With the flame bowl not happening this year, because of the world cup, I am toying with keeping the flamebowl alive and making the Poobowl a team tournament. I will say at this point I have mentioned this to nippy and he is happy with this.
My reasons are that the past 3 flamebowls have been fantastic, and there are lack of team events in the UK.
So questions i would like answered
• Do you want the poo bowl as a team event this year
• Still 7 games?
• Would you want all games played as team format ( and not just the last 4)
• Keep the same rules pack as the flame bowl ( seemed to work well) or use a new set?
• Names – “The flaming turd”? all suggestions welcome
I will be playing, but using something non competative, so feel free to invite me onto your team.
Will prob put a cap at 40, so thats 10 teams of 4 .
Any other thought s or suggestions?
Ta
Ian

I love a team tournament, me!
I'd be happy either way, but a team event would be super.
7 games, 3 on your own, game 4-7 in teams? Or just a straight 6 in teams works for me too.

I'd rather all in teams, it's just not been done at previous FBs I don't think?

All games in teams sounds good. 6 or 7 games, doesn't matter. Definitely run it as a team event (whilst Flamebowl isn't running). Use whatever rules you want.

Picking up the FlameBowl for this year, to merge with your own, is a splendid idea.
Very happy with the team format and 6 or 7 games is okay with me too.
All I would say is to keep a good chunk of Poobowl in mind. It's a merger, not Flamebowl moved to Loughborough.

Very good point. It should therefore be the traditional 'Poo' rules.Geggster wrote:All I would say is to keep a good chunk of Poobowl in mind. It's a merger, not Flamebowl moved to Loughborough.

Pure awesomeness. 7 games, all in teams, but I'd go for anything. I love it!

love it.
although weren't you at full capacity this year? changing the format to a team event is only going to increase popularity, what would be the maximum capacity? Flamebowl had 40 and had to turn people away after that (if i remember correctly).

im sure i can can cope with 40, can allways spill down stairs
if it stutters around 30 ish people paying, can allways cap at 8 teams (32 people)
depending on interest, i might just call it 32. well see
excited now
will think about rules packs etc this weekend.

Sounds grand!
6/7 games - don't mind. If there is Pizza I'll be doubly happy. Both Poo & Flame skills sets are good.
