2009 and '10 there was nothing special.
'11 saw coaches get bonus cheerleaders if they dressed as cheerleaders

'12 & '13 had no bonus rules, though I was starting to give away miniatures that would have eventually made up the original Exiles League members as a Necro team. But my sculptor stopped working

'14 saw the first of the "special" rules - Dead Rising allowed all teams to have a necromancer and cast Raise the Dead, and one random player on each team was given the regen skill.
'15 was Lucky Stars (a popular one I think). There was a higher TV allowance, coaches could only add 3 skills to their team and everyone had to spend a minimum of 150k on star players. Want lots of skills? Choose lots of stars

'16 - Pieces o' Eight! All about the Pirates! Liberally stolen (pirated) rules from hup north, coaches added skills to their team only to see them stolen away by each opponent! With a limit on spamming it created an interesting meta discussion about which skills to chose when you know you aren't going to get to use some of them

Plus there were boxes full of gold, to be used as bribes once over the weekend.
'17 - Repeated the skill loss system as I really enjoyed the pirate theme

'18 - Is going to back to my roots. The first NAF tourney I played was a BBGT. It was 105TV and one skill was given to one player, after each match, to simulate progression.
