It occured to me that there isn't a team with highly specialised position players and very limited linemen. This is a style which would be different and add some more variety.
My thought is that in a legue, they would struggle at the start as specialists would try to cover general duties, in the middle they would do fairly well as some specialists would have learned the skills to expand their role and in the long term they would "peak" as specialised players only have limited room to grow.
Some player types
Blocker (lineman equivalent) 4/3/2/8 Block, stand firm GS
Runner (for moveing ball in running plays) 7/3/3/7 sure hands, dump off G
Thrower 6/2/4/7 Sure hands, pass and accurate
Intercepter (Leap to help get to the right spot) 4/2/4/8 Passblock, catch, leap.
I can't think of a culture that would produce such a team but see my "Nuffling" post.
New style of team

Holy crap no!
Far too overpowered, I mean, sure hands, pass AND accurate on an AG4 starting player?
