Blood Bowl Baseball Idea????

Post by tommy316 »

I thought that I've seen previous posts about the idea- well here's a game out now that could use a "Fantasy" twist maybe.

http://www.wizkidsgames.com/sportsclix/ ... iveNav=how

I haven't read all the rules, but it looks interesting. What "fantasy/ carnage" twists could be added???

1.) Pitcher is actually throwing at the batter and he swings in defense?
A la George Carlin (please somebody know what I'm talking about) Hitting a batter is an out instead of a walk.
2.) One pitch per batter- hit 'em, they hit it, or miss 'em (walk).
3.) Block runners base path- have to charge through the opponent.
4.) Tag out's are like tackles (big collisions- out if he holds the ball, not out if ball is dropped)
5.) Simplified Player Positions- Infield, Outfield, Pitcher, Catcher, DH (no 1st, 2nd, short, etc.)
6.) ?????

I'll have to see how they work out the turns in MLB Sportsclix.

Now for game names........
1.)Base Blood (lame)
2.)Red (Blood) Diamond
3.)Smash Ball
4.)Blood Ball
5.) Smash Diamond

Anyway, If someone knows where there are rules for a "Fantasy" Baseball- PLEASE, save me the trouble of trying to come up with some and give me a link.

I've actually got an almost complete Blood Bowl version of Baseball that I've called Field of Screams. I could e-mail you a Zip file that includes the field, rule book in PDF format, templates, and score boards if you like. The only things I haven't got done are the First Pitch table (sorta like a Kick-Off table, but applies to the first pitch of an inning), and handicap table. I've got it on the net somewhere, but I forget the address. I'll try to find it, and you could simply download it from there at your liesure.

Has any progress been made with this? I sent you a PM with my e-mail address some time ago, but did not receive a reply. The .zip file is corrupted, and I cannot find your page anywhere.

If anyone else was able to obtain the handbook, could I get it from you?

Thanks,
~neuron
