in the same way that a dark elf team with 2 blitzers is competitive with a dark elf team with 4 blitzers?

Sounds strange to me

Well, if you don't buy 4 blitzers you have money enough for an extra RR. It's a good thing that most teams can be played in different ways - that's because the player prices are reasonably fair. That's not very strange, is it?
