I thought that any roll of 10+ could also net a double result instead of a normal skill.

It affects 4 dice results (6:4, 4:6, 6:5 and 5:6) the other 2 results are doubles anyway.

Just an idea.

Hi,

this would mean, that 4 additional rolls out of 36 are doubles. Till now we have 6 out of 36. After that the rate would be at 10 of 36. That rate seems a bit high for me, don't you think?
Doubles should be nice addons to the team, but nearly every team can do great without them. To increase the number of doubles would in my eyes not have a good effect on the game.

I don't like the idea of 10 of 36, but perhaps there might be other nice changes in getting skills.

Greets,
gan

SWEET for alot of teams like undead, when you roll 10 or 11 on a zombie and take Guard as skill

it would lower stats increase though if you consider that for all these extra double taken you see less +AG and a few less +MV/AV

This change would benefit a few teams/players like for instance a Saurus rolling 6+5. I'm not going to re-open the debate of the usefulness of a AG2 Saurus, but many coaches would ignore the AG bonus.

Here's my impression.

It would be a big boost for:
Teams that lack for skill access on blockers or linemen
Teams with players who don't have G skill access
Teams that lack access to one category or another
Teams with AG2 players who lack S access

It would not be a big boost for:
Teams with no players who would bypass +AG
Teams with several MA6 players but no MA7
Teams with GS-access Blocker types, players who would take +AG or MA, and little else

Winners: Chaos Pact, Dark Elves, Elves, Goblins, Halflings, High Elves, Khemri, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Ogres, Undead, Vampires, Wood Elves.

Losers: Amazons, Chaos, Dwarfs, Humans, Nurgle, Slann, Underworld. A Dwarf Blocker or Nurgle Warrior may take a double, but doesn't get a huge bonus for it. Amazons, Underworld and Humans need all the Agility they can get, though situationally a double may bypass. Chaos have all of the above going on.

In between: Chaos Dwarfs, Norse, Orcs, Skaven. It's hard bypassing Agility on a Norse or Skaven player, or either MA or Agility on a lot of guys on this list.
