There's no logic there, just because something is best in a small set doesn't automatically mean it's much more expensive. Claw isn't that great, and cerainly isn't worth 20k. It's like have a box of ping pong balls, and saying one is worth £50 more because it's got some writing on it, and people like writing.gken1 wrote:i'd say yeah cuz claw is the best mutation there is cuz it's the only mutation u see in horrendous #'s on a chaos team....u want the best mutation...pay for it.

comparing a skill that everyone takes to ping pong balls is retarded.
the player shouldn't even be that good on the team anyway.

No it's not, saying a skill is worth 20k more than another skill is just because it's popular is ridiculous. It's the best physical skill, because no of them are that great. If claw is worth 20k more than leap, how much is block worth - 50k? see it's a stupid argument. Why aren't other players with Claw worth at least 20k more than similar players?gken1 wrote:comparing a skill that everyone takes to ping pong balls is retarded.

The player being too good is another argument.

All mutations are not alike, if people are taking one mutation more than others it is more valuable. period. Block is better than other skills and I bet if you look at cost formulas it is priced accordingly....i think block is 20k while "normal" skills are 10k.
Blodge + av8? yeah you should pay a premium on that.

Plus if your gonna have the 3 best skills in the game on a starting player, you should pay a premium.

Ok so block is worth 20k, so the logic in claw being worth 20k MORE than dodge is...gken1 wrote:All mutations are not alike, if people are taking one mutation more than others it is more valuable. period. After a bit of research block is usually worth about 25K (no other skills)
Dodge 18K
claw 15K
This may not be that accurate, but for claw to be worth 20k MORE than dodge is riduculus.

no it's not, block dodge claw are probably the top 3 skills in the game. put them on a starting player you have to pay more. YOU CAN'T LOOK AT THE SKILLS INDIVIDUALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

That's really not the point. All I'm arguing with you is that claw is not worth 20k more on this kind of player than dodge, it just doesn't make sense. A player that has 8338 block claw, will not be worth anything more than a player with 8338 block dodge let alone 20k. I was just looking at things individually for ease of argument. You only situation, where you may have a point is on a high ST low AG player.gken1 wrote:no it's not, block dodge claw are probably the top 3 skills in the game. put them on a starting player you have to pay more. if you can't see the value of throwing block, dodge, claw into a starting player you're blind.

when you throw those three skills together (block, dodge, claw) on a starting player you have to pay a premium on it. You cannot look at the skill individually because it's a broke player.
8 3 3 8 catch, frenzy, claw 120k
8 3 4 7 block, dodge, leap 120k
8 3 3 8 block, dodge, claw ? i'd charge 150k for him...because you have to look at what he'd do to other starting teams....he'd be a one man wrecking crew that won't get knocked down---because you have to look at the skills together and how he would play on the field.
werewolf...easy to knock down....and with no block he won't be knocking down as many players.
wd...annoying but not gonna hurt players
this squig? player killer and hard to knock down. BROKE and price should reflect it.

That's much better. Well we're agree to disagree then as I don't think he's worth more than 130kgken1 wrote:when you throw those three skills together (block, dodge, claw) on a starting player you have to pay a premium on it. You cannot look at the skill individually because it's a broke player.

2 squigs 260k
3 black ork 240k
6 gobbos 240k
2 rr's 120k
9 ff 90k
apoth 50k
I'd take that team up against any other team and wreck them....except dwarves which would cancel out all the dodge.
Also if you get doubles on a squig....Razor sharp fangs....after one skill u could have the player killer everyone wants!!!!!!!!!
you can't just look at individual skills and player...u have to look at the whole TEAM and PLAYER.

I suggest you check the Squig Herder team in FUMBBL's Stunty division for inspiration - though I haven't checked lately, I believe most Stunty coaches agree they are more fun than a barrel of flying monkeys. Sticking a few Savage Orc blockers into it would actually make them competitive.
Note that the Squigs can and often do attack their own herders, using the Vampire/Thrall OFAB rules, which introduced a very Goblin-like element of potential self destruction
