They are flavoursome and with current pricing they aren't that automatically advantegous. That S5 War dancer is 220k in a single player. That's a lot tied up in one Av7 bundle....drathul wrote:Personally, feel that the game would be best served by removing attribute increases altogether.
As you have noted they are very unbalancing, which is ultimately bad for the game.

increases are great for the game. How else would elf teams develope to take on developed Orcs or Chaos? Or how would Chaos or Khemri be able to handle the ball effectively? I think as long as all teams have an equal chance to raise characteristics, it isn't a problem.

It's a Dark Elf world, we just let you live in it to provide fresh victims. - and I still want an Executioner to kill sauruses with.

To play devil's advocate ... through skill selection? E.g. Dauntless. IMO each team is designed with a specific strenghts and weaknesses in mind. Once you removed those weaknesses you have what might typically be called an unbalance. For example, the only chance most teams have against Khemri is to kick deep and tie up the Mummies in TZs, hoping they fumble the pickup.

Yes, and when I get doubles and give my Dark Elves Guard or Mighty BLow, that changes them, too. And when Dwarves roll doubles and one of them gets dodge or side step, that changes them as well. But, as a team developes, it makes the game more interesting, both to play my teams and to play against others. It'd be boring if I played the same 4 or 5 teams week in and week out.Joemanji wrote:To play devil's advocate ... through skill selection? E.g. Dauntless.
