Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

Hmm so is testing the BB Mag 6 roster now completely off base? Or is JJ still looking for feedback on that too?

Playing against orc, dwarf, elfes, skaven and humie teams.
With each time, two coachs playing ogre and after the other ...
I'd say however you want. I don't think they have to follow the same schedule and teams at all.

Nope ... forget BB Mag #6 .... the TBB and the new JJ roster are the focus now. So Season 3 of the MBBL will have 2 JJ-Ogre teams and 2 TBB Ogre teams.

I may start up the MBBL3 again (only 2 teams per a player, 2 week timelines) for 10 fast coaches to try 3 different Ogre rosters.

The TBB one
JJ's newest
and a modified BB Mag #6 roster using 0-6 Goblins and 0-12 Ogres.

I need to get the PBeM tool updated as it needs to use some special rules for the testing, but this team is one of those that the only way to get to the root of the problem is through testing. If the SkiJunkie's tool used handicap rolls, I'd start a Java league just to test this quickly ... oh well.

So in other words the team may come with a major special rule (which is the kind of thing i thot they dint want)? Where as the tbb version doesnt need any special rules and may actually be balanced? It will be interesting to see how it all turns out.

Damn...... in my game against Orcs I'm already 1-0 upafter kicking off.... I lobbed a gobbo into the back field who picked up the ball and dodged in to score..... not a bad start and now all come to nothing :(

For me it was a blessing ... my opponent opened the game by SI'ing one of my Ogres on a lucky foul so I was kinda glad on turn 5 to be able to say ... ooppsss nope not this roster ... let's try another one ...

(2) Jervis was very much against multiple positions on the Ogre roster, for aesthetic reasons. The models are already sculpted and in production and he feels there's nothing to differentiate Blitzers from Blockers. The "helmets, no helmets" point was raised, but he remained unconvinced.

It would also be useful for coaches who are playing in tabletop leagues to comment on how they differentiated the models and what effect that had on gameplay.
I believe there are only 4 different types of legs for the new Ogre Models. In SVBBL and EAGBBL we use the legs to determine position:

Blitzer - Legs from the Thrower and the legs that are stretched into the running position

Blocker - Legs that are simply standing or squatting

Additionally, any coach that is using 2nd edition minis with the new ones uses the 2nd ed as Blockers (they look smaller and less capable)

Adding an arbitrary rule like this is just a really bad idea IMO, and it proves that the team roster as-is is not balanced. Allowing only 8 Ogres on the pitch in the previous verion was the same thing, it was clunky and didn't make any sense...
