The stunty gathereres may make them a little too lizerdy.
Somthing a bit different for a big'un
Ape Priest 0-1 5 5 3 9 Hypnotism, wild animal, big'un.
WA and hypnotism give a reson to put him in the action and reason to keep him out.
The Ferals (formerly Hunter/Gatherer) team, needs fluff

I'm not too hot on the ape-man concept; the Ferals idea was more in line with what I was thinking. The gatherers with extra arms wouldn't be mammalian in origin though (unless mutated in some way).
Perhaps I could rework the bigger guys to be Centaurs? That would make them a bit more like Bull Centaurs, but with a penchant for throwing. maybe that's worthy of a separate roster concept, along the lines of the Forest Folk.

I was thinking of another position on the roster, to avoid looking too much like Chaos or Lizardmen:
0-2 Chargers 6/7 3 2 8 Horns (G,S) 80k-90k
These are bull-headed creatures, slightly shorter than a man but much, much wider, with short, powerful hind limbs and big shoulders and a fair bit of hair all over. They're the uncorrupted natural ancestors of the Minotaurs, solitary, aggressive if disturbed, few in number, vegetarian, not much interested in the outside world, the only reasons they play are due to their friendship with the Hunters and their anger towards the other races for the part they played in destroying the old forests in which they dwell.
With these guys on the Roster, the Hunters should not get access to Strength skills. If these guys are not included, Hunters should be av9 and 110K in price, with access to Str skills

Precious little commentary...ah well, I'll keep banging my drum...
Any idea for names for the team or the different positions? I see no reason to adhere to existing Warhammer races, there's plenty of room to make up new ones.
I'm toying with the idea of giving the linemen an extra physical trait, such as Horns or Prehensile Tail - that could make for interesting games versus elves, who would otherwise run rings around this almost tackle-less team.

Ok, i think I need to take this in a new direction; find some appropriate miniatures, and use those for inspiration.
Andy Foster's Lurkers (http://www.heresyminiatures.com/images/ ... rkers1.htm)
are deserving of a place on a roster, and are a fine example of the sort of thing I'm looking for; does anyone know of other miniature makers who do good creature miniatures that depart from the regular Tolkein and GW species?
Lurkers: They rely on their sharp claws and weight of numbers to bring down their prey...
M¦S¦A¦Av
6 2 3 7 Claws (!), Dodge, Stunty 60k (A)
They need some bigger buddies...
