Vampires -- Quick fix

Vampires are (IMO) slightly underpowered at the moment, with the change to
HG & Pro now being a Trait.
I was painting some Orcs & I've been painting for so long that I can
think about other stuff while I do it ---- anyway, I came up with the following:
COFAB --- roll a D8 for it instead of a D6.
No other changes.

I would rather fix HGaze and Pro ... at least that's what we plan to do when the MBBL reopens.

I'd love to see a workable Vampire team.

So would, or at least workable Vampires in the game to compete with the speed of the Khemri Elves.

Last suggestion I saw the Khemri elves were pretty slow

Why not try going back to the old OFAB rules from the compendiums, but modified slightly.
At the start of every drive roll a d6 for each vampire on your team with the OFAB trait. On a 4+ they can take to the pitch as normal, but on a 1-3 they decide to roam the crowd for food and miss the current drive. If one of your Vampires does fail the roll, you may instead place one of your thralls into the dead and injured box with a Bad Injury and allow the vampire to play as normal. The thrall has willingly given of himself to the vampire in order for the vampire to continue to play for that drive. No one would get spps for the casualties as they were self-inflicted.
The old rule was that the vampires would fail to show up for the start of each drive on a 1-3 and be able to play on a 4-6. This was detrimental to the team as the vampires ended up missing most of the game and you ended up playing with a thrall heavy team. In that case you may as well have played with Norse or Amazons. At least their players start with skills.
I would like to try something like this to take away the chance for vampires to injure their thralls permanently while still penalizing the team and making it less effective.
It would require a lot of judgement by the coach of the team as he would have to weigh whether or not to take a player permanently off the pitch for the game in order to allow a vampire to play for the current drive. You could run out of thralls quickly if you don't manage your team well and fail a lot of OFAB rolls, or you could be extremely lucky and never have to worry about it if your vampires make their rolls.

I'm thinking Scotty's suggestion might have potential:
6/3/4/7 Regeneration 80k Gen/Ag
70k rerolls
no apothecary
Especially since I think it might be a bit before that type gets fixed.

Is a failed OFAB a turnover? If they changed that would vamps be better? (without being too good, they are supposed to be weakish)
I think idea has merit.

One thing I dont like about this one is that it would be probably best to
play a 2-1 win Ork type strategy --- to minimise the amount of drives in the
game & therefore the number of OFAB rolls.
I play my Vampires like elves --- 2 or 3 turn TDs if I can manage it.
(only 1 win from 9 games, but I have the highest SPP average per game in our league)
Rolling a D8 instead of a D6 for the OFAB roll just seemed like a good interim
fix to power them up slightly --- which is all I think is required as they should
be above Gobs & Flings, but still behind the rest of the LRB teams.

Under the current experimental rules OFAB only causes a turnover if a vampire goes off into the stands to feast instead of attacking a thrall. If the vampire attacks a thrall, then he does not cause a turnover.
