4 Star Players per a team

Getting each team to have 4 Star Players.
Here are my thoughts using the available minitaures .... stats to come later:
Slarga, Withergrasp, Lewdgrip, Bilerot = Nurgle
Rasta and the Skaven Star with Poisoned Dagger (coming soon) = Skaven
Greaser = Orc
Eldric = mercenary Elf ... (Dark Elf, Elf, Wood Elf, High Elf)
Galmen = Chaos
Puggy = Halfling
Wilhelm = Norse, Necro
Frank = Necro
Hoshi = Vampire Counts (as a star player thrall)
Hubris = Dark Elf
Skeleton Star with Chainsaw = Khemri and Undead
So these are all the figures that are currently being sold by GW or soon to appear for sale.
If you went with this layout (ie mapping players to teams), then you end up still needing the following Stars:
Vampire Counts = 1
Halfling = 1
Chaos Dwarf = 1
High Elf = 1
Khemri = 1
Lizardmen = 2
Amazon = 2
That's no so bad of a short fall. So I'll try to get the rules posted for these stars and see what folks think. But I think this could go a long way to getting each team 4 available Star Players.

Good plan, I'm not sure about Hoshi as a star thrall but I guess the Humans have a pretty good selection anyway.
Fluff wise thrall stars seem an odd idea anyway, surely they are in thrall to a particular vampire lord, not to mention their odds of survival would be slim! Still 4 star vampires would be very dull so I agree a star thrall is a good thing.

9/3/4/6 Dodge, Hypnotic Gaze, Pass Block, Jump Up, Leap Pass, Catch
Plays for Dark Elf, Elf, High Elf and Wood Elf
Puggy Baconbreath ---- Cost: 190k
6/2/4/6 Right Stuff, Dodge, Stunty, Block, Nerves of Steel
Plays for Halfling
Frank N. Stein ---- Cost: 220k
4/5/2/9 Regenerate, Stand Firm, Thick Skull, Mighty Blow, Break Tackle

Wilhelm Chaney ---- Cost: 180k

Slarga Foulstrike ---- Cost: 110k
6/3/3/8 Horns, Extra Arms, Dirty Player

Withergrasp Doubledrool ---- Cost 200k
4/4/2/9 Foul Appearance, Regenerate, Tentacles, Two Heads, Prehensile Tail
Plays for Nurgle
Greaser Geargrinder ---- Cost: 200k
6/2/3/8 Pass, Sure Hands, Safe Throw, Thick Skull, Kick, Accurate, Leap, Pass Block
Plays for Orc
Rasta Tailspike ---- Cost: 110k
8/3/3/7 Extra Arms, Catch
Plays for Skaven
Hoshi Komi (star Thrall) --- Cost: 260k
8/3/4/7 Catch, Dodge, Leap
Plays for Vampire Counts
=====================================
That leaves us needing 1 Vampire, 1 Halfling, 1 Chaos Dwarf, 1 High Elf, 1 Khemri, 2 Lizardmen, and 2 Amazon
Using 1st edition, 2nd edition, BB Compendium #1, and Blood Bowl Magazine #1, you can easily get stars from the game's history to cover all of these star shortages except the need for one more Vampire Counts stars (unless you use one of the unused Human stars) and the 2 Amazon shortfalls. (heck there are 84 star players in the 4 resources I listed above that could be added in ... I don't want them all ... the stock to choose from is good).
Oh and can I vote for the 4th Halfling star ... can we bring back my favorite old star player from 1st edition... PLEASE
Arfie Shortzenegger --- Cost: 240k
5/3/4/6 Dodge, Stunty, Dauntless, Block, Tackle, Thick Skull, Bonehead
Plays for Halfling

If I was making Hubris I'd do this:
Hubris Rakarth --- Cost: 340,000 gps
7 3 5 9
Block, Diving Tackle, Leap, Pro
Plays for Dark Elf
Special Rule: Once per a game if Hubris is not prone or stunned and not in any opposing tackle zones, he may cast a spell instead of taking any other actions this turn. This spell may be a Fireball or Lightning Bolt spell exactly as those used by a Freebooted Wizard (see 4.6.3)

How about a Sneaky Git Hobgoblin with Dagger for Chaos Dwarf.
And since we now have the No Hands trait, Lucky Luc for the Amazons.

I do really like that Hobgob Sneaky Git idea, though!

Maybe the Vampire Teams head coach could be playing as a sweetener (or is that an idea already?)
Might be nice to have either a fast weaker vamp or a strong less agile vamp on the team, perhaps...

How about instead of giving 4 stars to each race, you could have some races only at 2 or 3, and instead give them race-specific sweeteners? Like exclusive magic items, or special freebooting rules for cheap secret weapons. Or maybe one race could freeboot three journeymen instead of two. Or Rotters can give the opposition Virus (I know, JJ doesn't like it, but it's fluffy!).

Hi Galak and all,
before we ditched stars, we had 5 stars for each teamlist.
So, a few ideas.
Halflings:
Ernald Spiritburner from 2nd ed. - a bit like Arfie I guess.
Something like 5336 block, dodge, mighty blow, thick skull.
Khemri:
We had Mufkatar the Despoiled (as opposed to "despoiler").
A mummy with MA4 and big hand. Not exactly a game dominater, but nice to have around when your 4+ pick ups won't work.
Vamps:
We had 2 useful vamps.
One with AG5 jump up, and one with high AV and thick skull.
Alternatively, for something less powerful, but still useful, we had a thrall called renfield with a few passing skills.
Or how about a thrall with pro, thick skull and regen. You could suck on that one quite a few times with a little luck
Finally, to cut my rant short, Amazon:
Something with dauntless would be nice, to help them deal with all those big guys.
Cheers
Martin

Something like Zara?

I'd like any new stars to be more like grizzled veterans, rather than uber-seven-skill-prancing-pseudo-elves like Griff.

Yeah. I guess. We haven't been using stars for a few years now, so I'm a bit rusty in that department. Sorry.
Something with ST4 and very long legs would also be good

Agreed.
For eaxample, the mentioned Mufkatar the Despoiled:
3519 Regen, Mighty Blow, Break Tackle, Sure Hands, Big Hand
