Which skill is most "knightly"

Hi all,
looking for some feedback on my Brettonian team.
Please don't post about what would be most balanced, and that knights/aristocrats/brettonians shouldn't be playing Blood Bowl. I've got that covered.
What I want to know is simply which of these skills you consider most appropriate for the following player:

The player is the teams knightly captain. A questing knight if you will.
Has stats are: 0-2 120K 6339 block, dauntless, skill? - G,S

So what should his 3rd skill be?:
*Multiple Block (able to best 2 lesser men in hand to hand combat)
*Stand Firm - holding the line valiantly.
*Tackle
*Leader - also to prevent lesser players from taking it.
*Juggernaut (allows player to push back on a "both-down" result on a blitz action) - Charging in like a true knight.

I'd really appriciate your feedback.
Cheers
Martin :)

Would really help to see what the rest of the team looks like.

If he's the captain, he should have leader, but it's your team design do what you want.

Juggernaut would be the right skill for him

Leader. He should inspire those around him to better play.

leader would basically give a 70k RR to the team, especially when 2 of them have the skill, since it's almost certain there would be at least one on the pitch all the time.

edit: sorry, didn't read the "i don't want comments about balance" thing. just ignore my post then.

Are the knights in that area more the heroic Arthurian noble type or the blood thirsty proffessional soldier type? If the noble, leader, if the soldier, Jug.

Sorry, but knights should not have jugs, it's just not proper. But if your team theme is transexual knights, go for it. :D

Hi all,
thanks for your replies. I really appriciate it.
Currently, leader is the firm favourite, with juggernaut as the runner up.

Thanks. But I've come to find that by yielding to feedback on some issues, I can remain adamant about the key design issues, and still get a team that gets better and better feedback.

It isn't impossible to track down  - and I'll post it here eventually.
But right now I was looking for "flavour"-feedback, and the stats would just mess with that.

Yeah - they would basically pay 40K for a 70K reroll.
IMO nice, but not that good - I mean, getting a 30K discount on your starting roster probably isn't as good as the combo (dauntless multiBlock) that we playtested them with.

Cheers all,
and keep the votes coming :D

I voted for Leader because it seems very cool to have such an inspiring Leader on the field.
Balancing is always a Problem, but with his states and with only one in the Team he will have such a big targetmark on his head, that the bonus 30k are ok, and if he is off the RR is lost, so its not that dis-balancing

Regardless of what I think about this concept (let's not go there), it is difficult not to mention balance when the Dauntless + MultiBlock combo on a starting player would clearly be horrendous and silly. Plus, in fluff terms, why would a knight be better at taking out multiple foes than, say, an Ogre or Treeman? :-? I voted Stand Firm, probably under the influence of the MBBL2 team...

BTW, if the team has AG2 peasants I will scream! :D

Hi again Nazgit,

>it is difficult not to mention balance when the Dauntless + MultiBlock
>combo on a starting player would clearly be horrendous and silly.

I weigh your input against literally 100s of playtest games.
Out of the 9 coaches who have played them, and 20+ who have played against them, none have commented on the combo.

That being said, feedbackwize - in the BB Boards, MultiBlock has been one of the things that quite a few people found strange on a conceptual level.
That's why I made this poll.
And I am going to make a change to the team based on the poll.
So that should make you happy? :)

>BTW, if the team has AG2 peasants I will scream!
No offense Nazgit - but if the team has any peasants you will scream. I could cover them in chocolate and you still wouldn't like them

At least they were AG2 for a reason.

Never the less, I've had a discussion about the peasants lately, and I'm open to suggestions. If people generally find AG2 to be sub-human, then I will find another way to make them truly bad players.
So there is hope for you on this issue too. :)
I hope you'll vote on the poll.
Cheers
Martin

Hmm, i like Leader, but 2 free ReRolls seems to be a bit much to me ... so i'd vote Standfirm.

Tackle and Juggernaut are kinda "dirty" skills for a knight. Multiblock sounds interesting, but the combo with dauntless is critical. Guard might be an option.

Now if you want to add leader, how about a knight captain as the teams "Big Guy" ... Something like:

0-1 Knight Captain 5 4 2 10 Block, Dauntless, Leader
(AG2 because his massive armour keeps him from moving)
