in a league, it would be interesting that the pitch has the characteristics of the team that plays at home. the wood elves play in a wood court, the humans in a city stadium, skavens in a underdark cave... with light changement on the match, as happens for the weather.
It would enrich the game, but we've to evaluate what means very well.

As far as game effects, this is being done by some people with specific weather tables and some are also doing stadium rules.

You can go a long way with this concept. Our league has modified stadium rules and special weather tables. It adds some fluff but doesn't swing the advantages too far.
