pitch style & movement

I was looking at the pitch designs by mrbrownesquire (Fantasy footaball mini section) & a thought springs to mind, with different types of pitch you have varying degrees of control in your actions (walk, run etc.).

To that end we could have -1 MA on sand, mud (or swamp) & snow pitches.

From experience on dodgy sunday league football pitches there could also be an issue with stopping or changing direction where intended. On a rainy/muddy or snowy pitch a player might slide an extra square using the throw in template for direction or 2 extra squres if they had sprinted

there are rules about for different pitches from goblin not so grandstands to massive astrogranite stadiums with all the mod con's they were in an old BB mag I'll just have to dig them out to find which one they were in.


From what i can remember junglebowl was good tree's on the pitch and carniverous plants :lol:

It's a great idea. We used to play with stadium rules that affected things like that. Loved it!

I can't access all the sites at the moment but there are loads of ideas about this around. Galak's site has the BB Mag articles called something like Take Your Seats Please and those are an excellent basis to start creating stadium rules. I think it was Wolf's Bloody Fields that might have been the first one I came across with different stadia stuff. I've really started gearing that part of the game up for my league as having field and stadium issues adds a great extra.
