Stats as inducements

I am having trouble getting new players into my established league, and have been tossing around the idea of allowing stat increases and skills as Inducements. You can only use Inducement monies on these, and NOT petty cash monies!
100k for +1 ST, limit 1
100K for +1 AG, limit 2
50K for +1 AV or MV, limit 2 of each.
50k for a normal access skill
100k for a doubles access skill
Has this been discussed before? I trolled through the search and through this forum and didn't find anything of interest. Was just wondering if I should bother coming up with the fluff, or if any of the BB elders can tell me if it's gamebreaking.

Hmm...Considering liking the Stats increase, but you can ditch the skills one..
Just mulling over the Pricing and limits you've set...I'll get back to this one after dinner...

Has been used in LRB4 with Illegal drugs so might be a goer.

Why ditch the skills? Not priced high enough? Set a limit? Was thinking of a way a fresh team could compete with our established Wood Elf team. Take a few tacklers and such.

TBH I would spend the Inducement cash on Stat increases and pulp the other team with additional strength players...still get SPP for doing so and possibly a permanent Skill....but that's me

Me too, thats why there is a limit on stat increases. We have some teams that would give new teams 500k-750k in inducement monies, so a variety would be nice.
I priced the inducements about double-ish what the effect is to have it permanently on the team. 50k value for +1 ST against TV but costs double that to induce. They aren't exact, but close enough, and I also wanted to keep the numbers rounded as even as possible.

At those prices , I don't see the need for the limit besides the normal stat increase limit of 2.
Try out those prices with the 500k - 700K difference. If the team ties then maybe the prices and limits are fair.
50K for normal skill access when you know your opponent may be cheap actually. Do you happen to have the cost for mercs on you?
Also stacking skills should have a cumulative effect, with each skill costing X more than the previous. For example what if I get 200K of inducements vs a team with just 1 or no tacklers? I would make 2 or more blodgers of my best guys. What if I was against Wood Elves? I would take tackle/wrestle.
Having the choice to give out normal skills to any player you want is powerful without even knowing your opponent.

To go a little further, mercs actually should fill this void by adding in doubles and stats...

You could also let teams induce 0-1 MVP. Our league likes 150k for an MVP after the match, but you could move it to before the match and that wouldn't be a huge issue.
