Would it be totally unbalancing to make thick skull a ST trait?
Just asking!

Actually I do not know, but maybe someone knows why they have moved Thick skull to physical abilities in the first place, so we can figure it out.

Yes.
I hate it.
Never works for me,
always works for my opponent. On that basis it should be binned forthwith.

Frankly, I doubt that this has been the reason why Thick Skull is not a Strength Trait
I made the experience that a player with thick skull never fails its AV roll making Thick Skull useless, whereas any other teammate seems to be get knocked out all the time (Murphy's law?: if you have acquired a skill, you'll never ever need it anymore

And ask yourself this question:
If a player with ST access rolls doubles and is thus able to choose any skill or a ST (and possibly also general) trait, would he ever choose Thick skull?
Never. There is no point of implementing such a redundant change, as I really can't see the situation where Thick Skull would be taken.
If we'd implement my pet suggestion of (2-7,8,9,10,11,12) -star player rolls, then there might be situations where TS could be taken.

Mestari makes a good point, would you choose to take thick skull over another skill? or even a physical ability with doubles?
i think having it as a racial char is the right way to got about it

Evidence to support my view:
FACT: in chaos teams all players have ST and Gen access.
FACT: thus when they roll doubles they can take physicals, ST & gen traits and Gen,ST,AG,Pass skills.
CLAIM: Still, I've never seen or heard of a chaos team player that takes Thick Skull voluntarily.
CLAIM: in the above scenario it doesn't matter in which category the TS is, no-one will take it.

Well, I'd consider it for my Norse Blitzers, I'm fed up with them getting KO'd n th 1st half and sitting out the rest of the game

Norse can't take physical traits.

Wow, if that happened I really want to get Thick Skull, now it reads:
Thick Skull: Player may never be injured
My experience is more like players with Thick Skull just get BH/SI/Killed more often

I played for a while with a chaos dwarf team in 3rd edition. 4 out of 5 times there was a ko roll it was a hobgoblin. 4 out of 5 times a cdwarf was ko'ed the thickskull dint work. Personally as a racial trait it should be improved, perhaps giving a reroll during the end of drive/half ko rolls.

If you'd want to give TS more appeal, it could be changed into:
-negates stun on 5+
-negates KO on 4+
-recover from KO on 3+
