What is the harm in giving a Big Guy a completion SPP for sucessfully throwing the guy with the ball?

you'll get elf-like big guys, standing in the backfield picking up the player and throwing him minimum range in order to have a chance at some extra SPP's
That's wrong with it.

1) You are risking a turnover.
2) It's a Pass action.
3) You are throwing the ball.
4) It's actually harder then throwing a pass.
5) You can eat your player with Always Hungry.
If a coach want's to leave their Big Guy in the backfield trying to toss the gobbo with the ball, then let him. Every other team does it (makes useless passes just for SPP's). The difference between those other teams and the Big Guys is that the other teams succeed more often.

It's just a very, very bad idea.

Our league actually uses this rule. One of our coaches brought the point up to Andy Hall and he thought that if the stunty being thrown had the ball, it could count. We've had 4 completions in our league's 300 games. It's not unbalancing.

I'm against that as well...

I wouldn't mind granting SPP by throwing teammates as long as:
1st: The pass is accurate
2nd: The right stuff mate lands on his feet (not on his head)
3rd: The right stuff mate is holding the ball.

Then perhaps your opinion is slightly biased

I've noticed people saying "its a bad idea!". Well, why? Because an Ogre or a Treeman is able to get SPP's other then casualties?
Besides, its only 1 SPP. If they sucsessfully pick up the stunty that has the ball, toss them accurately, and the stunty lands safely, I personally think that that Big Guy deserves a SPP for doing that.

Sushé Wakka: Those are the requirements in our league. People really don't try to milk this at all, since there are usually much safer ways to get a star player point. Throwing your little guys is usually a desperation tactic.
In fact, we had a Troll attempt to eat a 3 strength Goblin last week, but the Gobbo squirmed away. He failed his armor check and died anyway.

Why not let them get an SPP for it? Provided the conditions of safe-landing and having the ball are met? Seeing as the Risk is FAR outweighting doing it just to get a point. You can easily Spike! the player thrown for a turnover and death! Something those prissy elves sure don't have to worry about! Hell, to top that, I've had a "safe" short throw of a Goblin drift three squares BACK into the Ogre and managed to KO'd both
players! LOVE to see those fairies do that! (Though if the Ogre manages to get a kill on himself, does it count?

)
Mind you, I still thing "Accurate" should apply to Throwing Team-mates,
but it seems only I'm insane enough to want that chain...

You don't get a CAS for injuring someone with TTM, whether friend or foe.

My league awards completion SPPs for TTM if the pass was accurate and the stunty guy landed correctly (hasn't happened yet). Also, we allow TTM to target any square (even those with players in them) - but so far the only time this was attempted the Troll fumbled the Goblin and the Goblin was seriously injured... gotta love BB!!!
