Re: Eurobowl 2nd proposed pairings rule
I have edited the topic with the least proposal. This is the synthesis of many proposals coming from England and France .
I wish you will like the spirit of the rule.
The main goal is to improve relationships and fun between the nations.
Please read it and try it if you can. All captains are invited to write their opinion on this thread. When we will know who are the different captains, they will vote for the change of the rules .
Eurobowl is a communautary event, we need that every captain to be involved in it.

Re: Eurobowl 2nd proposed pairings rule
the new method have an advantage to present the players and rosters. It is good to know better who is the other nation.
The problem is the extra time allowing to the set the matches.
In addition the rules used for eurobowl 2008/2009 have the advantage to have more competiting matchs (the 1st players of each nation play against, the seconde the players of each nation play against and so on...)

Re: Eurobowl 2nd proposed pairings rule
Okay the general thought from my team members are like this:
It´s quite random - even more than before.
The tactical element is not that evident any longer and luck is more important now than before.
The good thing is that the team captains spend some time together which hopefully will add to a good atmosphere.
All in all I believe we prefer the Swiss draw to this proposal as it´s a more fair system - although I believe that a more tactical system would achieve a vote from my players.
Personally I think it´s good to debate whether we got the best system now - or (and how) we can improve it.
The hard thing is to get everyone to agree as we have different oppinions

Re: Eurobowl 2nd proposed pairings rule
I inform you that these rules (head of the topic) will be used during Rugbowl on 144 players (24 teams).
I think after this event we will be able to say if they are more interesting than old rules or not.
We will give you feedbacks.

Hi Niebling!
We will play like the captains vote will decide.
proposed rules or 2009 rules.
I'm just waiting a quick answer from admins to launch the different votes corresponding to different rules points.
EDIT.
Votes of captain will stand on team France forum.
Votes start today and end august 31 .
