It's really becoming rediculous about this years EB organization
I know that the NAF won't be active here but there is a need of an EB commitee for regulation as well for cancel this host in Portugal if there is no communication on several boards.

There is an EB committee in place and we are monitoring the situation. We have been promised that the information will be in place by 1st February.kithor2002 wrote:It's really becoming rediculous about this years EB organization![]()

The committee includes people like Lycos and Dries, so don't worry they are on top of it all.

The date is "only" 95% sure.
Don't booking anything yet.
All the information should be available by february 1st.

Re: rules for Eurobowl 2017 - Porto - Portugal
I'm not trying to cause waves now but I think it better to raise this here and now rather than look to be 'whinging' after the fact. The last major update appears to have been at EB '16 Captains meeting (including the '95% sure' for Porto and 21/22 Oct comment), this is now almost 3 months ago.
Going by the minutes of the latest EB Captains Meeting the 1st Feb was when we are supposed to be able to register not just to find out the actual date and location.
The whole point of having a 2 year run in for hosting was so the community wasn't in the situation we are now in. The organisers have had since late 2014 to get their collective act together. If by this time next month we aren't able to arrange for this years Eurobowl it's not just the organisers but the overseers now in place who will have failed to live up to the statements to date.
I am aware that we still have approx. 9 months but I could foresee (fear) that on the 1st we have confirmation of a town and date but then further information or a registration process then slips into March or April.
I may be completely off the mark and everything is almost done and finishing touches are going on in the background; if so well done and I look forward to reading about EB '17 and I apologise for being unfairly pessimistic.
Thank you to all those putting the time and energy into organising this, I do not want to undermine any efforts just give voice to some of the current concerns.
