Forgot to post this!

Despite triple skulls from Ripper on turn ONE, the Hooligans managed to stop laughing long enough to beat the CDs 2-1! The Bulls' normally Sure Hooves were anything but and the goblins jumped out to a 2-0 lead and then ran away to protect their squishy bits. Dizzy Dirk the Fanatic was especially sharp, killing one CD and KOing two others! The Ed brothers both tried to block the same hobgoblin and ended up killing the poor bloke but I do not remember which one!

In the other league game this week, the all-Longbeard Dwarf team shocked the killer Orcs 2-1 and possibly knocked them out of the playoffs. We finish up the regular season with those Dwarves and, if we win, can take the division outright!

Amazing what a simple idea and a coffee break can achieve, isn't it?

Well, the Hooligans held on for a 1-0 win over the all-Longbeard Dwarves!

Steady Eddy was the hero, scoring the one TD with a Leap (needed a reroll) and a Dodge (while being Tackled) and then, during the ensuing drive, chased down the Dwarf ballcarrier when he made a break for it. With one assist, Eddy knocked him down with no reroll (had been used because of Tackle of course) and the Hooligans secured the ball for the last few turns.

Our final record was 6 wins and 4 losses with one of those being an OT loss. We wrapped up the division and will have the #4 seed (our of 8 teams) for the playoffs! With BB rules preventing Star Players in the playoffs, we will probably be one-and-done but we will have fun and cause mayhem as long as we can!

We will likely get Dark Elves in the playoffs. I will keep this blog going as long as we last!

Well, the Red Mountain Hooligans have been retied...for now! We got Chaos in the playoffs and were leading 2-1 with two turns left before the CHaos pulled some Elf-like nonsense and got free. Then DIzzy Dirk swung around into a crowd trying to hit goblins and push them free of a Warrior's tentacles so they could chase down the ballcarrier but I messed up and forgot one of the trolls was on the ground (marked by a token) and Dirk bashed him! Rerolled it and Dirk bashed him again! Armor check, turnover. Chaos scored and we went to OT.

We got the kick in OT with six players but couldn't score. The lads gave their all and the Chaos couldn't score either.

Second OT, Chaos received and we had 4 players. We held them out for 5 turns, even popped the ball free once, but eventually they wore us down and scored to win 3-2 in double OT.

The lads did win their old coach the league Coach of the Year award so I couldn't be more proud of the little cheaters.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the troll was already on the ground, ie prone, it shouldn't have been a turnover.

The troll wasn't knocked down in your turn and hence, no turnover.

Hmm, so it isn't the armor check that causes a turnover in that situation but the knockdown? Well, shoot - we learned something!
