Being an alum of San Diego State University, I chose to play the Slam Diego State Smacktecs, and give my players names out of Aztec myth and history. Being an orc, I naturally chose to play Humans.

Our theme is simple. Americans speak English, badly. Mexicans speak Spanish, badly. Aztecs spoke Nahuatl, probably also badly. We are the SDSU Smacktecs. We talk Smack, fluent-like. Wanna learn Smack? Come a little closer....
We started with three non-competitive builder games. It's a bummer that they were non-competitive, because they were laughers. All told I allowed my opponents 21 Spp, zero skill rolls, and a net loss of 120k gold, and got myself 63 SPP, 6 skill rolls (with 2x +AG), 4 players at 10+SPP, and a gain of 150k gold.
#1: Happygrue's very stabby Dark Elves. Fun concept, and he played great, but I got really lucky on three really important rolls (critical skull/both RR into skull/skull, a Blitz kickoff, and a snaked pickup), and as a result it was never close. He also lost a Blitzer and a Lino, with no skill-ups.
#2: baelnic's Slann. Not a fair fight, and not all that close as 2-1 games go, but still the best game I got if the proof is in the pudding, and he was the only one who unarguably didn't leave any worse than he came in, though not much better either (did get a Blitzer TD, so something...).
#3: drrek's Dwarfs. I got both his Runners, and it was all downhill from there, but some greedy (and unlucky) ball games held the score to 2-0, could have been 3-0. His dead 5SPP Runner took this MVP too, and he got no SPP for the whole match.
So much for builders, you say? Nah, here's where the Smacktecs are.
Ogre: Guard (6)
Blitzers: Mighty Blow (13), Dodge (7), rookie (1), rookie (0)
Thrower: Block (10)
Catcher: +AG (11)
Linemen: +AG (10), rookie (5), 4x rookie (0)
Apo, 3RR, FF3, 60k Treasury, 1.29M.
You think that's cool, you should see the Army team: Dark Elves with two +ST linos. 'Course, that just means more meat for the Ogre: Tlaloc must be fed! There are still several teams still building, too.
Schedule comes out Thursday. Smack, literal and figurative, comes out in a continuous stream of (un)consciousness.
