BCG Presents 'The Draft' 2025

Once again, its draft time in the Blood Bowl World, where inspiring players are looking to get drafted into the Blood Bowl leagues. To celebrate this, Bruce the magic sprout has invited star players from all around to play and demonstrate their skills.

This Tournament is also part of the South East Tournament Series (SETS) for 2025.

## Team Building and Skills ##
Teams for 'The Draft' have a budget of 1100 gold for team building. They’re tiered with the following skills, which must be represented by a skill ring. Teams must be fully painted and based.

Primary skill - 1 point.
Secondary skill - 2 points.
Stat up - 3 points.

With a max of 2 additional skills the same per team. A stacked skill is 2 skills on 1 player.

Tier 1 – 6 points, 0 players may have stacked skills.
Tier 2 – 8 points, 1 player may have stacked skills.
Tier 3 – 10 points, 2 players may have stacked skills.

Tier 2-3 may take 1 stat up for 3 skill points, but you may not stack skills on this player.

## Inducements ##
All common inducements on pg 84 of the Blood Bowl 2020 rule book are allowed.
Death Zone Giant is allowed, Death zone, Team Mascot, Spike sideline staff and Wizards are allowed.
No cards or Inducements from GW Tournament pack or Death Zone mercenaries.

Tier 1 - Amazons, Dark Elf, Dwarf, High Elf*, Lizardmen, Norse, Undead, Skaven, Underworld, Wood Elf, Orcs
Tier 2 - Black Orc, Chaos Dwarf, Elven Union, Human, Imperial Nobility, Necromantic, Tomb Kings*, Nurgle, Khorne, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegade, Old World Alliance Vampire, Slann**
Tier 3 - Snotlings, Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Gnomes

## Star Players ##
All stars cost 1 skill, the following stars cost 3, because they are so good.

Varag Ghoul-Chewer
Skitter Stab-Stab
Cindy Piewhistle **
Bomber Dribblesnot **

For the purpose of this tournament, the following are banned:
Griff Oberwald
Hakflem Skuttlespike
Morg 'n' Thorg

** Can only be taken on stunty teams.
Teams must have 11 players before selecting any stars, unless on of those player is Bruce the Sprout.

## Mighty blow/Dirty Player +2 ##
All players who have mighty blow +2 or dirty player +2 (including once per game +1) will have the following rule:

Professional Pain-giver
These players know how to hurt the opposition just enough to cause damage, but avoid the lengthy paperwork that can follow a broken bone or death.
As a result anytime this player causes a casualty, roll the injury dice as per usual for the purpose of apothecaries. But treat any result after this step as “badly hurt” only.

## Event Special Rules ##
Players who play at 'The Draft' will be awarded with a 1 use bonus reroll. If this is reroll is not used in the first half of a game, it can be carried onto the second half.

## The Draft ##
A selection of star players will be available to draft before match two and three. The lowest place team will select a star, this continues in order until the top player picks their star. Two of the same star (or even 3) are allowed, they're clearly imposters and will be found out on the pitch. Once your game has finished, the drafted stars go back into the pool and the same process is followed for match three.

## 'The Draft' Special Stars ##
Bruce the Squig Sprout (can only be selected during the draft)
M6 S3 AG3+ PA- AV 8+ Horns, Jump Up, Loner (3+), Monstrous Mouth, Bounding Leap.

Bruce the Triffid Sprout (can only be selected during the draft)
M4 S4 AG3+ PA4+ AV9+ Tentacles, Prehensile Tail, Extra Arrns, Horns, Monstrous Mouth, Sprint, Take Root, Loner (4+).
Special Rule; Probing roots: If they take root they may still move half their MV characteristic as part of their activation, but may not rush.

## Schedule ##
3 games of Blood Bowl action. 2 hours 15 minutes per game. Slow coaches will be put on a clock if required. The Android App ‘BB Coach Assistant’ has a suitable clock.

0900 - registration.
0930 to 1145 - Game 1.
1145 to 1200 – 1st Draft
1200 to 1245- Lunch
1245 to 1500 - Game 2
1500 to 1515 – 2nd Draft
1515 to 1730 - Game 3
1745 - Prizes.

## Scoring ##
20 points for a win.
10 points for a draw.
2 points for a perfect defence (No TDs conceded).
1 point for each TD and CAS scored (up to 3 max).
Giving a max score of 28 points per round.

Strength of schedule, TD difference, CAS difference, Lowest Tier.

Players cannot win more than one prize marked with a *.
There will be a number of prizes available on the day for those that get Awards, along with in-game event prizes.
Everyone will receive a participation prizes as long as they signed up 1 month before the event start date.

Battle City Games is located in North End, there are a number of places to get food that a few minutes walk from the shop.
