Wycombe Warpbowl Blood Bowl Tournaments are held at Tabletop Republic, 37 High Street, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP11 2AG.

Tickets are £15 and available from the links provided below.

Entry to the Wycombe Warpbowl one dayers is only available to NAF Members. You MUST be a member of the NAF in order to play at a Wycombe Warpbowl tournament. For more information on the NAF including how to join, head to www.thenaf.net.

Access & Parking

The venue is step-free ground floor with disabled access toilet facilities. There is however no parking at the venue, being a high street premises.

Food

To keep the cost of entry down, food is not included in the ticket price. Food is available to purchase at many other nearby businesses.

Rules

The Wycombe Warpbowl one day tournaments will be using the Blood Bowl Second Season Edition (or Blood Bowl 2020 as it is commonly known) rules, along with the “Teams of Legend” PDF and the designers' Errata which can be found over on the official Blood Bowl website, as well as the inclusion of the Slann team, which may be found under the NAF's “Rules For Tournaments 2024” document. Any Games Workshop published team / rules updates which occur 7 days or more prior to the tournament start date will be implemented, unless stated through updates provided by Tabletop Republic. Team Building

The team building tier breakdown for the Wycombe Warpbowl events are as follows (subject to change):

Tier 1
May not induce star players. 1,150,000 gp base allowance. 8 primary skills.

Dwarf, Undead

Tier 2
May not induce star players. 1,150,000 gp base allowance. 8 primary skills -OR- 5 primary and 2 secondary skills.

Amazons, Dark Elf, Human, Norse, Old World Alliance, Orc, Skaven, Tomb Kings, Underworld, Vampires

Tier 3
May not induce star players. 1,200,000 gp base allowance. 8 primary skills -OR- 5 primary and 2 secondary skills.

Chaos Dwarf, Chaos Renegade, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Wood Elf

Tier 4
Star Players permitted (see ban list), 1,200,000 gp base allowance. 8 primary skills -OR- 5 primary and 2 secondary skills.

Black Orc, Chaos Chosen, Gnome, Goblin, Halfling, High Elf, Ogres, Snotling

Tier 5
Star Players permitted (see ban list), 1,250,000 gp base allowance. 8 primary skills -OR- 5 primary and 2 secondary skills.

Khorne, Elven Union, Imperial Nobility, Nurgle, Slann

Inducements

The only inducements permitted are Apothecaries, Bloodweiser Kegs, Halfling Master Chefs, and Bribes, which are paid for out of the gold pieces referenced above prior to the tournament. No inducements are able to be purchased at the table, so spend that gold!

The following star players are prohibited:

Skills Packages
Once you have fully purchased your team as described above, you may distribute additional skills amongst your players as per the tiers above these skills are not “paid for” using your gold pieces allowance and are instead simply added to your roster.
No player may receive more than 2 additional skills.

KILL STACK LIMIT - If your team contains a player with the skill combination Sneaky Git & Dirty Player, the team may not also contain a player with the skill combination Tackle & Mighty Blow, and vice versa - whether this combination is from a Star Player inducement or built with the skill package. It is permitted that these skills be present on the team spread across different players, but not stacked as above.

A coach that selects a tier package where secondary skills are available may substitute one of the secondary skills for a primary skill if they wish (i.e. take 6 primary 1 secondary instead of 5 primary 2 secondary).

Painting Requirements

All teams must be painted with at least 3 colours and be comprised of appropriate fantasy miniatures which reflect the positionals they are intended to represent.

Prayers To Nuffle
Any reference to rolling on the “Prayers to Nuffle” Table must utilise the Exhibition variant of the table found on page 103 of the Blood Bowl rulebook.

What You Need To Bring

All coaches must bring with them:
- One painted team
- One Blood Bowl pitch and dugouts
- Dice and Templates

Rosters in Tourplay

There is no requirement to bring a printed roster although players are welcome to for quick reference. All rosters will now be submitted in advance on Tourplay at the link provided. Please ensure you have submitted your roster on Tourplay as soon as possible. IMPORTANT - each player MUST have their own profile in Tourplay (it is not possible for one player to submit several rosters into Tourplay under their own profile on behalf of other players). Each player MUST have their NAF details (name and number) entered into their Tourplay profile.

Scoring

The primary scoring system is 2 Points for a win, 1 Point for a draw, 0 Points for a loss. Tie breaking will take into account strength of schedule, followed by net touchdowns, followed by net casualties.

Prizes

There will be prizes/trophies awarded for the following:

Tournament Winner
Runner Up
Most Touchdowns
Most Casualties*
Stunty Cup (Best placed Ogres, Snotlings Halflings or Goblins)
Best Painted Award**
Disaster Averted! Award (2nd bottom - a twist on the "Wooden Spoon" idea!)

*Any injury that goes into your opponent's injury box (even if it's just passing through) counts towards the Most Casualties award. (And also for the tie breaker.) this includes opponent's failed dodges, fouls and crowd surfs etc. ANY injury counts for your CAS.

**Display bases do not increase your chances of winning best painted, only the figures themselves will be judged.

Quick update,

There are still spots available for February's edition of the Wycombe Warpbowl if anyone is interested in attending. While the current ruleset is in place for that, there will be some tiering changes come March onwards.

I'll get these done ASAP, but please be aware.
