Welcome to Gibraltar's First NAF-Approved Blood Bowl Tournament!
Welcome, coaches, to the Rock of Gibraltar for an epic day of Blood Bowl action! This is Gibraltar’s first-ever NAF-approved tournament, and you’re in for a fantastic time filled with brutal blocks, stunning touchdowns, and nail-biting finishes. We’ve also lined up some exciting goodies for the prize draw, so everyone has a chance to leave with more than just memories. Whether you're here for glory, fun, or just the atmosphere, we’re thrilled to have you be part of this historic event!
Getting Here
Before anything else, make sure you bring your passports or ID cards to cross the border! There are several ways to reach the tournament location (LATINOS RESTAURANT in Casemates Square):
Walk: The venue will be within walking distance from the Gibraltar frontier.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available at the border for a quick ride.
Bus: Gibraltar’s efficient bus system connects the frontier to the rest of the Rock, making it a convenient option.
If you’re driving, we recommend parking in La Línea de la Concepción, as crossing the border with your car can be time-consuming. La Línea has multiple parking options (we’ll share links to help you locate them). For those who do drive into Gibraltar, please note that you’ll need to park in one of the pay car parks, such as the ones on Winston Churchill Avenue, the ICC, or Midtown.
Tournament Overview
The tournament will consist of four action-packed rounds, with lunch and a drink (soft drink or beer) included in the entry fee. After the final whistle, we’ll tally the scores and hold the awards ceremony to celebrate the winners, along with the prize draw for all participants.

Special Referees
We have invited special referees to take part in each of the games in the Tournament. Careful not to upset any of these, we do want them to come back next time.
Cards will be provided to each table detailing all of this for rules checking.
They are as follows;
Ulgrim the Righteous
“Are you talking back to me?!” Ulgrim does NOT accept any bribes, nor will he allow anyone to argue his calls.
On your turn you can activate a player to "talk" to Ulgrim as a special action, (This player cannot have moved prior to this and must be unmarked)
Roll 1D6
1 - "I don't think he meant to say that ref!" - You are not successful and cannot try again. Player is sent off and Ulgrim hits a player in anger (random player is placed prone)
2-5 - "If only I could just get to him" - Not successful but you can try again next turn.
6 - "Hard not to accept a bribe when its pointy end is already in your ribs" - Successful, New ref takes Ulgrims place, you can now challenge the ref and use bribes. You earn 1 bribe for this game, when challenging you succeed on 4-6.
Sam Va-Lentin
Sam just cannot make his mind up, he struggles with his daily routine and nearly even missed this game, he wasn't sure whether the stripey socks made him look fat...I dont think it matters if the socks have stripes....
Should he send that player off? Was he too harsh? who knows? he certainly doesn't
Players that are sent off get a special marker, and count as KO instead. These players can come out on a 5+ but you must roll this after every drive (As Sam is still deciding whether or not to send them off)
Richie the Tea Lover
There's only one thing Richie loves more than his Rich tea biscuits, and that's dunking them in some tea!
Attacking player rolls d8 after the ball is received from the kick and the kick-off event is resolved. The number rolled is the turn Richie will be leaving to have his tea break to dunk his biccies. (Richie acts as a normal ref until he leaves)
Once Richie has left for his tea, on a foul with doubles;
Roll 1D6
1 - Someone tells the ref what is happening, player fouling is sent off without challenging it or use of bribes for causing such a fuss. Roll 1d6, on a 5+ he sends off a random player from the same team as he is livid from not being able to dunk his biscuits in peace. He returns to the game as a normal ref & wont leave for his tea again till the next half
2-5 Richie hears the commotion but decides his biscuits are worth his attention, Increase the first bracket each time you land on this ie. the next time doubles are rolled you fail on a 1 & 2 now, this bracket becomes 3-5, the next time you fail on a 1-3 and this bracket becomes 4-5
6 - Richie doesn't hear a thing, wow that cuppa must be good!
Arty the Magically Explosive
Arty was never a good magician, he only knew two tricks. A fireball and, one rather peculiar bloke mentioned he got into a newt, but don't worry, he got better. This is why Arty has turned to the life of an umpire, to use what he knew and be appreciated for it, well, by some people at least.
On a foul with Doubles;
Roll 1D6
1 - Arty launches a fireball at the player in ANGER
2-4 - The spell that Arty has not worked quite the way it should have, player is placed prone
5-6 - Player is turned into a frog till the end of the drive
Team Creation
Each team will be given gold to spend on purchasing players, attributes & skills depending on their tier
No limit to repetition or stacking

Matches & Schedule
Each round will last 2 hours and 15 minutes (1 hour and 7.5 minutes per player).
It is essential that players have a timer, whether it's a chess clock or an app such as CHESS CLOCK (available on PlayStore) to track time, as we will be strict with match timing.
Referees will have the final say in all decisions.
The venue (Latinos Restaurant) opens at 8:30 AM, so you can have breakfast before the event if you arrive early. Alternatively, there are nearby bars and cafés that open earlier.
