I totally understand your thoughts on this. Mine are simply that a NAF national tournament deviating from existing NAF recommendations seems conflicting and could set a precedent. There was just one Slann coach at this year's Welsh Open and that team didn't place very highly. Restricting the use of Slann perhaps seems overly strict.

Restriction the use of Slann is more welcoming to new coaches.

Imagine Young Billy, who is a rookie coach, having recently bought the game and played a few matches. He rocks up at a tourney and sits down opposite a team he's never seen, or even heard of before! Not a very nice experience for Young Billy.

Ficticious Young Billy would also have had to purchase multiple Blood Bowl Almanacs to learn the rules for teams that aren't in the main rule book. I don't think your point holds much weight there. Anyway, this is getting off topic. Whatever Jayward decides is absolutely correct, of course.
