Talk Fantasy Football

We're starting a new league at Powerfist gaming club in Stafford in the near future. I've never been there before cos its a 40K club but a couple of BB players I play with go there for 40K. There's only about 6 of us up for it to begin with but I imagine that once the 40K guys see how awesome BB is then we may bring in a few more. If anyone's interested let me know and I'll fill you in.

Send me the details, used to be in a league with Tritex and a few others think i still have their emails so can pass it on cant promise they're still playing though.

Will let you know when I find out more. Going down there tomorrow for a friendly game with my mate as a demo of sorts so should find out more about it (including where it is) then.

Tritex seems like a good guy, just met him a couple of weeks ago when I picked a few minis up off him.

Had a friendly game at Powerfist gaming club last night (lost as usual).

They meet on a Thursday night and next week (8th Aug) they're going to be getting the ball rolling with taking names etc. I think the week after that will be the kick off of the league (you wouldnt need to be there to join on the 8th, just let me know and I'll pass it on).

It's £3 a night to cover the rent of the room etc and there's loads of 40K going on in there (not my thing but cool to look at).

As its BB, people will be welcome to join in after the league has started.

Any warm up games likely to be played on the 8th ?

Looks like there will be a few weeks of friendlies before the league proper kicks off as we have a few noobs joining in who want to learn the ropes. Good opportunity for me to get all my 6's and pows used up before they matter

Tomorrow (8th) there is a few coaches meeting at the club to discuss the impending league. Think they might play a friendly too. I'm not gonna be there (out playing rock star) but I'll let you know the results of the conversation here when they get passed on to me.

This is what my mate Ade said on FB about the meeting:

-1000TV starting league

- Weather is being used

-MVP will be awarded to a random player out of three chosen by manager at start of game

-League scoring system is yet to be decided due to problems with TV multiplication with some people using halflings and wanting to keep TV low. A system using Win as 3 pts, draw as 1pt and loss as 0 then dividing total by games won was discussed

- Rolling league with a minimum of 4 games to qualify for play offs

- League is scheduled to start 26th of September with the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month planed for BB game nights at the club



I think the MVP thing's a bit weird TBH but hey, it's BB so it will be fun

In case anyone else is interested, the Stafford league at Powerfist Gaming Club starts on Thursday 26th of September and there will be folks down on the 19th for some friendlies.

Had a fun game against maverick last night. Got completely destroyed though!

Partly due to my bad decisions, mainly due to my skaven being completely unable to dodge, even the GRs.

yeah even elves struggle to dodge when rolling that many 1's
