Upcoming TE Committee spot election
Hi all,
Sadly, Wobert has decided to step back from his Team England committee duties part-way through his term. We thank him for his efforts; he's been an enthusiastic and active member of the team.
We will shortly be conducting a process to find a replacement to complete his term, which ends after the Eurobowl in 2026. We'll be conducting this on the TE Discord server (https://discord.gg/dFkxg7Jh) as this is becoming a hotbed for TE discussion and it will serve a trial run for future captaincy and committee elections.
Timeline:
24-Feb: Window opens for candidates to make themselves known
03-Mar: Assuming 2+ candidates, Q&A opens
10-Mar: Voting window opens
17-Mar: Voting closes, winner named
Please find below some words on what the committee is and what the role entails at a high-level. Any questions, please shout (Ideally on Discord, but I still check this forum daily too!).
Phil.

Re: Upcoming TE Committee spot election
Morning all.
The vote to fill two seats on the TE Committee is now open. If you are English and have played a tabletop tournament in the last 12 months, you are eligible to vote using this form: https://forms.gle/tEEoFNfbKyxxjsMW7. Our candidates, in alphabetical order, are GreenskinPhil, Joemanji, Spleggy and TheRake.
Quick notes:
- The vote will be open for one week, closing at 9 am on Monday the 10th
- The results will be posted as soon as possible after the poll closes. We'll have the odd thing to check, so bear with us
- The Q&A threads on the TE Discord (https://discord.gg/RgzrbAkfVc) will remain open throughout the voting window, so you still have a chance to ask questions and make your minds up
- If you need more information on the committee, the voting process or anything else, first refer to the TE Charter and then please do feel free to ask if you don't feel it is covered download/file.php?id=8144

TE Committee Election Result
Hi all,
We have counted and checked a total of 119 eligible (and 4 ineligible) votes. This is a fantastic number, the committee would like to thank to the community at large for their engagement with the process.
The results, as dictated by section 9 of the Team England Charter, are as follows:
Phase 1 - First placed votes:
GreenskinPhil 90, Joemanji 13, Spleggy 11, TheRake 5. GreenskinPhil is elected, TheRake is eliminated.
Phase 2 - TheRake's second placed votes are added to remaining candidate totals:
GreenskinPhil 93, Joemanji 13, Spleggy 13.
The Charter does not outline next steps in the event of a tie. After much consideration, the committee has decided to hold a one on one run off poll between Joemanji and Spleggy, judging that further community voting is preferable to the committee deciding how to break the tie. We will amend the Charter later in the year so we can deal with future edge cases such as this without the need for a run off.
So - we have one week of bonus democracy! The vote for between Joemanji and Spleggy is open now and will run for one week (until 19:00 next Monday). Please continue to grill them in the Q&A threads and use this form when ready to vote: https://forms.gle/jh3PdHJJQeSqFa2c8
In the event of a second tie, the five members of the committee will vote publicly to select the winner.
Many thanks again for your involvement, and for reading.
