And yes they got real arsey about it.Frank wrote:Yes, it was Hoomin who tried it..mrbrownesquire wrote: That has been tried before - by Hoomin possibly, I can't remember - and GW were not amused. In other words, they won't let you do it.
See now, I find their stance a bit on the BS side. They are, after all, official GW figures, they are even listed so in the rules for first edition BB. Heck, their rule does not even specify that they have to be METAL GW figs, just official ones. Sure, I can understand that they want you to buy more and more of their figures, and painting them makes the games look better, but come on! Some of us are unemployed or only marginally employed, so buying lots of minis is out of the question. Also, some people like myself are allergic to most paints and cannot paint minis. So, I find their heavy-handed attitude a bit of a turn off. Good thing I can't afford to go.hoomin_erra wrote:And yes they got real arsey about it.Frank wrote:Yes, it was Hoomin who tried it..mrbrownesquire wrote: That has been tried before - by Hoomin possibly, I can't remember - and GW were not amused. I gave them the 3 colours, GW official, based and numbered stuff.
"Get some metal figs or yer not playing" was the gist of the conversation we had.
