Bloodbowl Odds
So who's going to run a book on this years tournament?
DW: you're the man with the inside NAF knowledge.
(not that anyone would gamble on the game or anything, just a bit of fun like....)

Heh! Nuffle owes me after Spiky! So I'll be winning all my games again and not throwing anything anywhere.
Apart from that, there's a difference between the plain red brick of a Post Office Social club and the beautifully constucted and painted hall at GW.
The Perry twins would be making up some stocks to put me in while they constructed the gibbet!

The Short Money
I'd have to have Orcs on the short money, given the format. Strong overseas contenders expected.
Humans have Griff or Zug as a possibility and they usually attract strong
coaches - good chance there. Keep an eye open for Longfang's Legends.
Lizardmen definitely have history behind them so they might well be favourites. Watch out for the defending champ Venomous Breath and the Spiky champ Sputnik
Skaven can be iffy in tournaments but with Geoff Porritt confirmed we might well see the Blight Crusaders take the top spot. Yet to be confirmed is the return of the Red Guard Rats....
Worth a Flutter
Wood Elves and High Elves both have every chance to do well but may be hampered by low starting cash.
Undead are capable of fielding a strong roster and have no shortage of strong coaches but will the format suit their advantages?
Dwarves are usually well equipped for tournament play with a strong starting roster. Expect trouble from the squat coaches.
Outside Chance
Chaos Dwarves placed well last year but Mike "the Bighat" Wilkinson wont' be attending which takes away of the strongest CD coaches out of the field
Dark Elves may suffer from the same problem as other elves - low starting cash. Coupled with the lack of strong Darkelf coaches in recent tournaments I have to rate them outsiders
Chaos certainly have the hitting power but will they have the ball control to get the big wins?
Norse and Amazon both have excellent starting advantages in tournament play but do they have the resilience to go the distance?
Longshots
As always the shorties bring up the rear. We can certainly expect 1 or 2 strong gobbo or halfling coaches and there may well be an upset to be had. Overall tho the "comedy" teams are long shots at best.

I'd put Undead up there with the short money:
At Spiky cidervampire was undefeated with W3 D3, McDeth went W3 D2 L1 and Grumble came out W4 D2. Plus some geezer won Tulips with them, and if Lucy brings them over as well...
Chuck a Luthor in and they look even better, hell, even I went 4-0 with them last year!

Uhhh ... I don't know if Chet is coming or not ... but if he is my money's on the Amazons.
Chet won all his matches last BB ... Was never scored on ... And in fact in all four of his games, he never allowed the ball into his half the pitch for the entire tournament.
Change the scoring system a little, and I'm pretty sure I know who might have won.
If Chet brings back the 'Zons ... there where my money goes ... ESPECIALLY if Marcus is giving Outside Chance odds on them.

Galak: Chet bringing 'zons certainly shortens their odds by a long chalk.
DW: I think you might be right about the Undead. In fact, I reckon we can probably shorten the odds on undead and lengthen them a bit on Skaven.

No doubt that Chet's damn good with 'zons, but a lot depends on the draw, a quality Dwarf coach would ask questions. Mike Wilkinson also went 4-0 at Res. with Htark-less CDs. That's a match up that would have been interesting last year as well. Tackle strong teams are the Achilles Heel of 'zons, and Dwarf specialist coaches would expect to beat 'zons more often than not.
Hopefully the BBRC will be sticking 10K onto the RR price as well!

Re: Bloodbowl Odds
Are we talking coaches or races? All depends who's taking what...I'm toying with Chaos right now.Marcus wrote:So who's going to run a book on this years tournament?

The Wodell boys are gonna come up with some rosters for various races as soon as we get the format and just play them off against one another.
