This makes sense Dan. Agreed it'll give voters more influence on which four comprise the committee, looks better. Seems the aim was for something fairly simple. Too late to change it? See what SpeedingJim thinks.

In the absence of, in my opinion, better qualified southern coaches, I am tempted to stand in this election.

I have been playing tournament BB since 2002 and after a slow start have now played one hundred plus tournaments including two World Cup's and have played all 26 races.

I would be looking to represent the views of southern and particularly SWTC coaches, but given the success of the team to date, I do believe in creating a consensus to provide an environment to enable that to continue.

I haven't been to Eurobowl and believe it unlikely that I will be a candidate for selection moving forward, however I will be going to the europen in Cardiff later this year to get experience of the event.

+1 to Dan’s idea being a good one.

As the voting process hasn’t started I can’t see a tweak to the system being an issue?

Deeferdan and others, thanks for the suggestion. Great to see people thinking about this and posting views and nominations.

On the one hand, I'm reluctant to change the proposed system at this late stage i.e. the day before nominations close and voting commences.

On the other hand, I can't claim the original system is perfect, just something I created as a part of moving this forward and in an attempt to create a simple system that avoided some pitfalls. I can see the logic of moving from 2 votes to 4 votes per coach, particularly now that we have a great set of nominees. I might well be thinking differently if we only had 2, 3 or even 4 people up for election.

It helps that some of the nominees (thanks Pipey and Leipziger) have posted in support of a change from 2 to 4. I'd be interested to hear the views of others, particular the other nominees if possible i.e. Wilf, Indiana-Utah, Flick and Besters.

I'd like to put myself forward.

I've represented England at the 2 last Eurobowls in Sweden and Portugal, and regularly play tournament bloodbowl in the UK and Europe. Playing since 2008. I have spend several hours arguing about the best direction for Team England on various forums.

I'm keen to see Team England maintain their recent success, and the more people that are involved, and the greater the competition for places the better.

I also implemented the new NAF glicko rankings, which I guess points to my wholehearted commitment to the community.

Great to see that we have a good selection of candidates, it's encouraging to see that people genuinely care about putting a fait democratic structure in place.

Speaking of democracy, I'm happy with the 4 vote proposal, at this stage in the set up, it's more important to ensure we have the numbers in place, and 4 votes gives us this.

I agree that the vote for 4 people would work fairies across the board of nominees.

I also think the ‘vote for four preferrentially’ system is much better.

Only 4 votes each?? this is going to be more difficult than i thought....

But seriously, there where no weak candidates and the late additions, Mubo & Besters, whom are both great coaches and top guys as well makes this a very interesting and exciting time for TE!!

My best to you all, what i will say is after this at least we can lay the "Clique" to rest once & for all..... until the conspiracy theories start next week anyway!!

Jim, are you putting in the bit about ranking the coaches according to one’s preference too?

No, I'm going to keep it simple, leave out the ranking bit and just make the change to up to 4 votes.
