Last Game two of my BOs got SPPs because of casualities. So all three got 2 SPPs each right now after three games played. :)

I dunno but I score with Black Orcs whenever I have the possibility. Ag 2 means they catch the ball at 4+ and with a Re-Roll thats a 75% Chance. Started doing this with Dwarfs when ever I had the chance and since it worked for them I tried the same thing with Orcs and voila... my Blitzers dont Score all TDs = they dont Age soo fast and 3 BOBs have 3 Skills one has 3 Skills and +St

Edited Part:
Chances are good you have plenty of time and space when you took the whole first Half moving in front of his end zone. On Turn 6 or 7 try to pass ball to your fav. Ag2 player. If it fails pick up the Ball with a other Player (ag3 or better) and score...

If Bullcentaurs can score Bobs, Longbeards, ... can score too

I've gotta agree with Ian on this one - Mix it up between block and PO for the first skill.

This will let you position the BoBs along the line a bit more strategically.

I also try to score with Black Orcs whenever I can. First of all, it brings in some much needed SSP for them, it often confuses opponents (bring a BOB and a Gobbo down the field, and guess which of them will get swamped!).

In fact, opponents often only have 3 choices when you do this:

1) Cover the BOB, this takes at least 2 players (because of ST 4). This frees up the Gobbo (Stunty will get you out!)

2) As 1 but the other way around!

3) A mix which leaves both players a chance!

As for skills they all get the same 3 skills (I've never had one go over 3 skills as far as I remember) in this order: Block - Piling On - Mighty Blow.
Tackle, Guard etc go to the Blitzers who do just that - Blitz! Currently I have 4 BOB's (all Block, 2 w/PO), 4 Blitzers (All Block of course, all Guard, 1 tackle, 1 w/+MA).

Well, just my 2 cents :)

I would try to score with my Black Orcs whenever possible but I don't think any of them has ever been that close to the endzone!

I have one with PO as his first skill and every game I wish it was block instead, especially as the others have no SPPs :x

I would go with Block first then mix it up a bit with the next skills, PO and MB are both good but if your league has a lot of dodge then Tackle may serve you better.

Break Tackle and Pro are also worth considering although they probably lose out to the other more popular skills most of the time.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

Would you guys give up a double to take Block for a BoBs first skill?

I took Stand Firm ( to anchor the corners of the cage & to give me the chance at a Dodge without any risks).

He has been Skull/Pow'ed a few times since then though :-(

The other BoB took Block for his first skill.

They are on 7 & 8 Spps respectively now --- after 11 games.

I think I might have to try to score some TDs with them --- its going to take
too long to get to 16 Spps otherwise.

Frenzy is a good choice on one of them. S4 & Frenzy go together pretty well. However I wouldn't want more than 1 or 2 and Stand Firm is the next best choice.

Block first, no doubt unless doubles are rolled.
Tackle next. PO is nice but first get you're opponent down, then make sure they stay down.
Tackle makes sure those dodgy Elves think twice before dodging away, cause it means a risk of using there ever precious RR.
If you have no Dodgy opponents you can forget about Tackle. :smoking:
