Post by amadoris »

For a Lineman i'd take guard or possibly dodge. if its a physical you definitely want then claw

Guard is a possibility, Dodge not. Horns would make him a nice blitzer, as Skaven can have only 2 storm vermin, another blitzer would come in handy i.m.o.

Next advance block, tackle, on a double claw, razor sharp claws or mighty blow and you have a MA 7 pain in the ass....

I would take claw anytime only competing with guard, if you feel, you need it.

Horns would be for either a gutterrunner (even better as a blitzer due to higher MA) or if that lino already has a claw and block.

i have to say i like the horns idea, a st4 blitz could be handy when opening up a hole in the line (for those of us who dont like rat ogres that is)

FA would be nice if the opposition is mainly flashy passing types but would require 2 players with it to be truly effective

if it was me i would need a really good reason not to pick claw

Claw or Guard IMO. Both are very useful although I think I prefer Guard as you can then blitz with the SV instead.

You could take Foul Appearance, Dodge or Spikes to increase his longevity.

I'd save Horns and Dauntless for Gutter Runners.

Guard, leave the Claw for Rat Ogres and Storm Vermins IMO. Works better on AV8+ guys anyway since clawed players are marked with a big 'X' on their foreheads.

What about Leader? If haven´t that much rerolls you give your luck a little boost. I think you can use the leader reroll to reroll a roll from you big guy (i thought I read in the q&a section...)

Good Luck with your choice!

It is perfectly legal to use your leader reroll on the big guy.

When your playing with the living Rulebook 3.0 then Big Guys cannot choose leader any more because they are only allowed to pick strength skills and traits (LRB3 page 26).

When you give him claw or anything that can hurt your opponent he will be a target to be killed. So if you really want a physical what about tentacles or Prehensile Tail.

Then I would go for guard.

Foul appearance would be cool.

But I would also consider leader maybe so that your Rat Ogre(if you have one) can use a re-roll.

Under LRB all Big Guys have access to General skills too, so can take Leader on a double.

Also BGs can use Leader and Trophy rerolls.

Horns or claw. If horns then try for dauntless.
