Hi everyone,
There will be a new league starting in my area, and it looks like 6 games, semi and finals at maximum for each time, as we are split in several Divisions.
For the past 2 years, I played Dark Elves exclusively, and frankly they are starting to become a little stale. Since I am seemingly stuck ranking 2nd or 3rd all the time due to the first 2 games being tough against Orc frontloaders, I was looking at a team choice which performs best in that kind of tournament, and go for the win instead of the style this time.
Rules are as written, starplayers and secret weapons not allowed. Worth noticing is that there may be an Ogre team as an exception.
I was thinking Necromantic or Khemri, maybe Chaos Dwarves, though I would really like to give Chaos a try, just wondering if thats possible in a 6 game environment

Necro's are decient short term. With only 6 games thier wolves stay effective throughout the whole season. I find the regular undead a force as well.
You should really consider norse or amazons. Having all your players starting with block or dodge is a real advantage. Amazons with blogers off the start is really amazing.
I'm not really sure about chaos dwarves for a short league. They take a bit more time to develop since they have no ball handling skills to begin with and they are not likely to score more than a few td's. Worth a try though.

welcome to tbb khaushar,
as urb said necro's are a good team to start with, and recently i played chaos dwarfs in a short tournie and they were good, they seem to be better as a tournie team rather than a league team as they suffer a bit at a higher team rating.

Yeah, but in my experience they NEED blodge, because otherwise they break rather fast. ("Make a wish --- SPLICK":o) I saw a norse team last year which did alright their first game but got dismantled in their second game vs orcs, to the point they had 4 fit players to start the next game with. Needless to say, the coach was not amused and chucked the team right away (like he had a choice?).Urb wrote:You should really consider norse or amazons.
