Dwarves vs Orc or Amazon in final of Spike Tournament

Tomorow i play the final of a spike tournament.

The semi finals still have to be played. It's an orc team vs an amazon team, they are in the second half, the orcs are recieving, score is 1-1

I face one of those oponents in the final.

Can u peops give me advise on tactics versus:

a) Orcs (i guess these are going to win the game)

b) Amazons (You can never be sure before the fat lady sings)

is it a final, the first thing to do is to kick yer mng-dwarf. Lower your tr make the handicap at your advantage.

You want TR to be as low as possible in this senario. You have 120K in the bank. Depending on what team you play, and how much money they have you want to do a few things:

1) Fire the MNG Lineman he is a waste of space. Your team rating goes from 156 down to 149.
2) If you are afraid of the Orc ST and he doesn't have a lot of money then you might want to hire our friend the Death Roller to Death roll people.
3) If you can't hire stars then buy another Reroll. you go up to 3 rerolls and your teamrating drops another 4 points. You go down to a 145.
4) This leaves you with 40K in the bank. Depending on how the rules to the tournament work, if you don't keep this team ever again, and just are in it to win it, then spend taht 40K it is worthless in the bank. Hire 2 assistant coaches, and 2 cheerleaders. Now you have a better chance of winning rerolls from the other team.

If you are playing the Amazons you might as well call it game over congrats on winning. Regardless of coach skill dodge loses to tackle. He has to put three men on the LOS. You swarm the 3 and they die. Then next drive same thing. It happens once per half regardless. Also if you can hurt them at any other way as well go for it. I think you being dwarf helps you out greatly in this final.

But i have to go on with this team afther the tournament, should i still fire the mng?

I'm going to say yes, assuming that the winner gets some kind of big reward. Of course, if it makes no difference handicap-wise it doesn't really matter.

I agree with either fireing the MNG guy if it helps you when it comes to handicap. If it doesn't keep the weight. You should still in my opinion buy a reroll. Haveing 3 never hurts.

Ok, thx for the advice peeps, i used it wisely and won the Spike trophy.

I kicked the mng and bought a rerol, tha way i limited the hadicaprols up to 2 rolls.

The rest of the game was basically a dwarf game, holding on to the ball, and score in the last round. 2-0 was the endresult.

but i would like to add a thing.

Buying a wizard (or runesmith) is also a key to drop tr and in that match boost yer team. Good deal.

Buying a wizard does NOT drop your TR for that match. Hiring a Wizard is handled in Prematch, but the TR is calculated at the Postmatch of the PREVIOUS match. Therefore, the money you need to hire the wizard is still part of your TR
