if all you want to do is survive, then keep your witches in the dugout and dodge every player away from tacklezones each turn.
other tactics include fouling every turn and hope you get sent off (can't be hurt in the dugout)
but overall I'd recommend just play normally, don't leave people in tacklezones unnessesarily and setup a few receivers and out score him.

Dodge out to move assists where you can fight back with 2die blocks. Your team has no dirty player (
), that's a damn shame because you could really use one in these kind of games to get rid of the claw/rsf players. Now you'll have to try to get your MB witch to get rid of them. (Also no kick
, elves need kick!!!!)
In any case give them only 1 hit/turn (blitz) and fight back where possible. And get kick and a dp asap![/b]

Agree with most of the above....
Try to dodge away from the guys who can hurt you most... give him at most 1 blitz with his nasty players. Don't leave people on the floor with him being able to get lots of assists on the foul... i.e., force him to use the +2 of DP to break armour. I'd also suggest not getting caught up in a fouling war... force him to foul you once and then all future fouls will have the referee's eye on him and he will be sent of 50% of the time. (I presume you are using LRB rules.)
I agree that you need a Kicker. Adding some dodge will also make it easier for you to get away from the nasty players in the future.

When recieving, foul first. After his first foul, never retaliate.
If he is stupid enough to commit loads of players to a few gangfouls you will at least be able to win the game, because of his bad field positioning. The best way to avoid gangfouls is to try to keep your guys in a line, and run around them when they concentrate to go for the kill.
Reading the lineup I would expect you to have a LOT of handicaps as well, so you might get lucky there.

My Bulls have the "Thin Skull" trait. After every block they make, roll a D6. On a 1+ they get ko-ed and stay in the ko-box for the rest of the game.

the fact that you have 2 guard players will help a lot. it will let you get localized strength advantages on just about anybody on his team. you just have to pick your spots to attack VERY carefully, make every effort to have none of your guys in any of his tz's when your turn starts, or if there are, make sure it's in a case of said localized strength.
those chaos teams are always a lot scarier on paper than on the pitch. you'll get into the game and realize they aren't really that terrifying. good luck!

Open
Unfortunately, there are no open leagues being played nearby.. just this one league and a pyramid in the off season. He would never get a game in otherwise... but the only place I got to play at is one shop called Next Gen. in Deer Park, on Long Island... if anyone knows another place near here feel free to let me know so I can join you guys there too, I just love playing.

This kinda remembered me of the quaterfinal of the Ulthuan-Invitational - a major fumbbl-tournament.
I had like 11 battered DE to start with, facing a true slayer-chaos. I won due to 3 facts:
1) A little luck with the blockrolls (getting slightly less knockdowns than I should)
2) A wizard
3) Playing straight for the ball
Although I got 2 RIPs in turn 1, I managed to get out mostly alive. I recieved, scored with my full squad quickly.
Then I let him attack, harrassed his ball and bring an elf into scoring range - then at turn 5/6 use your wiz to blow up his cage blitz the ball or just pick it up (if the wiz has knocked the carrier down) and score - or even delay another turn, so that he won`t be able to score in the half. I you lead 2-0 at halftime, you should win.
If you want to see the replay on fumbbl, check for the games of Midwinter.

live a little, it's called BLOOD BOWL for a reason!
you, and your team, are only as good as the opponents you've beaten!

Are you telling me there are two teams like that in the league ??Bizzy wrote:Nids is that you? It is Miller from NG. Just was gonna ask who are you playing Mike, or Eric? I might be able to help if I know who your opponent is.
Ouch.
I can't add anymore than they have other than you've got block and a single dice block is like dodging for a 2 if he doesn't block (only one result puts you on the floor).... So in those cases I think I would try the single die block instead of dodging.. Just to limit his options (-3 move) and hoping for armor breaks... / improve the attrition ratio.
Best of luck.

One has 3 Claw/RSC players. 2 dodging beastmen, 2 foul appearance guys (one of them is a dirty player making life hell) To make matters even more fun with this guy he also has a Minotaur with block, claw, guard, multiple block.
The other guy I have next game (yay) and he has claw/rsc guys too. He also has a ton of mighty blow.
The thing I have noticed with Chaos teams they tend to either go try to ball control with doubles, kill, or field control. But they get so wrapped up in this as well as getting block, and tackle they hardly ever guard. Guard is a great skill when trying to get dice in your favor against these guys because if you both go down you might as well die with their murder weapons.
As for a D-Elf tactic to win I would have to say just avoid at all costs. If you can run then RUN. Keep your witches off the field. With their stat line they are a huge target at only AV7. I know they might say "I don't wanna hurt anything" but then it is like why did you use a team with all claw/rsc? To hope you were gonna roll a 1, 2 or 3 on injury? I would just try to avoid his team and stay away, never foul him or he will just beat you up badly. Try to win if you can but if your goal is to live then just stay away and let him score. Play catch with your guys when you have the ball but give it to him to let him score. When you are giving him free TD's, he won't want to kill you. If you wanna win or at least score then just use your agility to dodge away, and use your speed to keep away.
