PBBL Nurgle Team

Post by BullBear »

Been away from BB for awhile.

What's a good starting team for league play under the PBBL ruleset?

Thanks!

I thought of several:

Beast 140 k
2 Warriors 220 k
2 Pestigors 160 k
6 Rotters 240 k
3 rr 210 k
3 ff 30 k

or

Beast 140 k
4 Warriors 440 k
6 Rotters 240 k
2 RR 140 k
4 FF 40 k

Without the Beast:

3 Warriors 330 k
3 Pestigors 240 k
5 Rotters 200 k
3 RR 210 k
3 FF 30 k

I recommend starting at least with 3 RR, as you'll need them. The Beast is a nice extra, with Tentacles it can Mark a lot of opponents....

Good luck!

I agree with getting at east 3 starting re-rolls.

I reccomend getting a minimum of 2 pestigors as they will help your team win (which is needed to generate more gold)

I would also seriousy consider buying the Beast to start. Even if it just sits on the LOS that is one more rotter that doesn't risk decay. I've found once you start buying new players and getting skills the spiralling expenses start kicking in which makes it hard to get that Beast Later.

I'm at 16 games or so and after saving up to buy re-roll 4 I have not been able to afford the Beast yet . Having only 100k in the bank then adding only 40k in winnings sounds easy, but after -1 or -2 to your winnings roll things aren't so easy. Especially if you hover at 50% win rate like mine has. Come to think of it I no whave a -1 move warrior and a -1 AV warrior who I might need to cut and rebuy before gettign a beast now...

I would buy only enough rotters to fill out your starting roster and never buy another again. if one dies, use a journeyman or replace him with a positional: pestigor, or warrior - or save the money for the better player and use the journeyman anyway. You can always take a rotter later if you need one from kills or drop the cheap $ for them if your positionals are full up.

I have a fun time with them. I'm still at only 50% win/ loss becasue I can not get my ag 3 rotters to handle the ball ever. And my ag 3 pestigors only pick it up every third time or so....
