Finally after almost a year my store has new league
Now the real question is more of what team can I use with the new Living Rule book going on the house rules of the league.
Here are the rules of my store, we have 12 teams and there are 11 games in the season. We have to play each other team once and after all games are finished we are having a play offs after which the best 2 teams end up in the finals and play one more match. After the winner is decided the store owner is going to buy a trophy and have it engraved with the winners name and his team name and place this trophy in the stores showcase for everyone to view. Now the big news of this is that we play each opponent only once so we have a couple of choices on what team to play. I will list the other members of the league, explain the team they are using and their play style. Also understand no one has used the newest LRB yet so its new rules to all of us.
Dwarf - Obviously you all know the team, this guy usually can't get out of his own way when it comes to winning, but he is good at killing and fouling. He always enjoyed the Deathroller, and now even more now that it is on the field everyday he will be happier. Dwarves start with awesome skills and are good to bash everyone, especially with everyone starting at TR100. He won't do well in winning games but he will hurt people well and get a win or two
Chaos #1 - This guy used Chaos since he played, always liked killing people and usually resorted to fouls or murdering if you either killed a guy or ran up the score. Loved Claws, and Razorsharp claws, and other killer moves. Now with mutations on skill rolls he can have instant access to claw, but no more RSC thank everyone on that. I am not sure how good he will do but I know in the short run Chaos can have problems due to lack of starting skills.
Chaos #2 - He is untalented but never tried for the Chaos murder team like others. He went with a diversity of skills which can make him a much more formidable opponent. Its pretty much the same as the last guy with qualms but he goes a more diverse route with mutations.
Chaos #3 - The best player of Chaos in our store, his team became unbeatable due to its extensive tackle, Diving Tackle, and Claws/Razorsharp. He killed EVERYONE and was happy about killing other players. If he doesn't go Chaos he will use Chaos Dwarf which isn't a fun opponent either.
Orc #1 - This guy is a loose cannon, partially nutz. You can get into his head easily and beat him if you get him off his game or annoyed. But still orcs are an amazing team and he can use them well. I understand though that Orcs are great and have awesome stats, and can learn some nasty Strength moves.
Orcs #2 - He is a good player and can do the same stuff as any orc guy nothing special about him. Same as above guy but not insane
Humans - New player we will have an easy time with him. One of the people who will go with humans and try to bash out the bashys and it just won't work well. I don't fear this guy at all
Lizardmen - This guy I can see doing very, very well. He will have a team people won't beat. Either bashys will get bash skills, or go to beat the dodgy's. So It will be a difficult opponent being diverse with Saruai, and Skinks. I have a feeling he will do very well.
Amazon - Friend of mine personally I have a feeling he will do well if he plays right. Zons will have no problem against anyone if they play and learn right. Not that many teams will take tackle that fast Dwarf guy will be hard for him though.
Pro Elves - This guy is an ok player, and hasn't played in forever. Don't think he will be too difficult, probably an easy victim to most, and if others desimate him everyone will have an easy win.
Halflings/Humans/Nurgle - We are unsure what he is gonna use, but one of these three. He loves Flings because it is great to embarass people beating them with these little guys.
Then there is me. I am good at playing Necromantic, Humans, and Norse. Now I don't know what to use in the new rule set, and with such a short league. I am also good at playing any team or any way of play. I don't know what would be the best route of action agasint these players. What is your advice?

I think the new norse would be a good choice. I have a friend who plays them and despite the low AV they seem to be a challenge for me with any team I play. They cleaned my clock when I was humans, and the best I could get out of my Lizards was a tie (didn't have time for OT and I hate deciding the out come of a good game with just a single die roll).
So I would suggest the norse.

I agree with TRV on this, there's no certain winning team. Once of our coaches took humans, got hammered something like 4-1 by an Orc team his first time out... He won our league (it's only little with 7 teams) with 3 wins and 3 draws but consistently racked up more than 3 TD's per game. Another Human team in our league has had a really low Team Rating but still managed to come high in the league because of clever inducement usage and his ability to just batter people!!
My own Orc team is languishing in 5th place (just above the Halflings and Dwarves) but do very well at mashing halflings

You see its more of a what is the better choice, going with a team that can run rings around these slow pokes, or a team that can stand toe to toe with them. I usually have played Necro in the past, but I don't feel they will be skilling up fast enough, so I was going to stray away from that route. I was considering going with Norse since they seem so tough now, and the suggestion of Skaven is a good idea, they can move quickly and do a lot of scoring.

My original thoughts were mostly like this. If everyone is going to play a bash-em-up team then I can either
A: Bash back
B: Run away.
I figure if I run an elven/Skaven team I can have OTS and be able to run away fast, then the guys that do the hitting can hopefully get an Orc Blitzer alone, and Maime him once in a while. This way I can run and score and then thrash if my guys and his get alone with each other. If I play the bash game I can hit back and score when I can. The pros to playing a speed team is get away fast, run quickly, and then the other teams destroy each other

3 players on LOS and the rest a few squares back = not much bashing opportunity in 1st turn, and when they move up with AG4 dodging out and running away again isn't a problem!!
And although they're high cost you don't really need many positionals, maybe the blitzers and the throwers, but lino's will catch an accurate pass on a 2+ and the slowest player on your team will have the same MA as the fastest players on a bashy team!!
