All of my Snotlings get Diving Tackle as their first skill on my team.

I can see this. Even with MA5, with 5 snotlings, you can cover lots of the back-field. The WD can leap and get in the back-field, but then he will have to deal with a bunch of angry snots with TZs on the ball. And yes, if the ball is really well placed, you may only have one snot with a TZ on the ball. Can't have everything.
If the ball is kicked closed to the LoS, you may be able to bring an Ogre to the ball. If it is far, the WD will need two turns to reach the ball.
And with Diving Tackle and Side Step combo, things get really interesting.
Personally, if I played WE against Ogres, I would be quite worried about getting a WD by himself in the back-field. That's a good way to make sure that this WD will never come back. Sending a pair of WDs could be interesting though. But that's a couple of leaps ...
And this is why I love this game. There is no perfect strategy. And even with the best strategy, the dice can simply ruin everything.
The more I read about Ogres, the more I want to try them.
