ARBBL Open - the dust settles

Post by Darkson »

So, the inaugral ARBBL Open is over, and I hope the coaches that played enjoyed themselves. There was the usual tales of woe, joy and outright jamminess, but in the end, it all shook down like this.

Champion - Firebreather (Steve Watson) - Chaos Dwarf
2nd place - Gazza (Gary Webb) - Elf
3rd place - Venomous Breath (Simon Merton) - Skaven
Most TDs - Steve Rea - Wood Elf
Most Cas - Matt While - Chaos Dwarf
Best Comeback - Gary Lewis - Human
"Where's the Defence?" - Most TDs conceded - Sean Hewitt - Lizardman
"Ouch!" - Most Cas comceded - Mike Swinson - High Elf
Wooden Spoon - Richard White - Halfling

Stunty Cup - Darkson - Ogres (though to be honest, with only myself and the Halflings, once I'd won my first game [of 3] it was all over - he had bad dice all weekend)

Thanks to those that attended - hopefully, we'll run it again next year, and have a few more attendees.

Very cool tourney. Congratulations again to Steve. Would also go back next year if Simon decides to run it again, especially for some more of that curry :D

Had an excellent time, and enjoyed all six of my matches against great sporting opponents (but then thats not hard with the outrageous good luck that seemed to be following me around all weekend :o ). Congrats to Steve on winning and thanks to Simon on organising a great weekend will defo be back next year if it goes ahead. Cheers all!!

(Matty losing to Munson! Surely some mistake there! :D )
