S7 is probably better on defence than S6 - its much harder to get a 2 dice block against since your average S5 player still needs 3 assists. Being hit 1 dice without block is better than 2 dice with block.

However the difference is pretty marginal so the weaker offence more than counter acts any defensive advantage.

But S7 is sooo much more fun :) I'd take it anyway just for the look of disgust on my opponent's face :D
Buggritt did this a while ago. He had a killer ST6 snow troll, turned down ST7 in favour of block. Count Luthor with 2 assists sorted him out quite nicely. ST7 may have been better.

Ah, this is an excellent point, Buggritt demonstrates the correct course in all things.

If only he were alive to tell us what to do with Dwarves and Khemri...

(Just in case I was being too subtle, I was pointing out that one anecdote does not an disagreement solve).

Very true, but there is no one answer to the ST7 or block question. Both are better than the other in some situations. It's up to the coach to decide which matters most.

Don't forget ST7 is even better once you add Break Tackle. Makes him awesome for dodging into cages and smacking the ball carrier with a 2D block.

No.

ST 7 is no better for dodging than ST6 as the dodge action table counts any agility above 6 as 6 (i.e. 1+).

It would help to get a 2D block inside the cage but if you can't get one of those with a ST6 guy you're not trying hard enough.
