I'd go Guard. Mobile Guarder = great 4 Undead.

Our league is more bashy than finesse. Of 16 teams there's 1x Fling, 1x Skaven, 1xGobbo and 2xHuman on the non-bashy side & of them the Humans have Ogres of course. The rest are the usual suspects, Orcs, Norse, CDs, Lizzies, Necros, Zons (no Dwarfs or Elfs of any sort funny enough)

If i'm lucky enough to make it into the end tournie i'd expect more of a mixed bag.

Still undecided with MB, Guard or Pass. I'm a running team kinda guy but the pass option is always good.

Thanks, d

I took Guard on my Ghoul, you always get the assist when you are Blitzing someone off them! :)

Pass is a good choice, but means you really need to think about Catch, or Pro, on the other Ghouls to receive. Doubt I would go with Mighty Blow just because I do not do a lot of hitting with my Ghouls but I could see it working if you use them agressivly...

Given the list you read off, go Mighty Blow all the way. Not even close.

Look at all that juicy AV7!

Try as hard as you can to skill this guy (turn the game over even if it's not convenient) and give him Block. After that, don't spare him: score or block with him when it's convenient so he can get Tackle or Frenzy. That would make him a total killer against Hobgoblins, Skinks, Rats, 'Zons....

Note that Lizzies, Necros, Skaven, Humans, Norse ... these teams all develop very good turnover games, and you're much safer with KOR on a Wight or a different Ghoul than you are with Pass. Just don't throw the ball if you're facing down more than 6 guys and have a mathematical chance at a TD without a pass: KOR gets you three squares to the ball without a roll, and that's much more reliable than an 8/9 shot (no RR) for getting the ball into the cage with a 2/3 to keep your grips. Getting cute will get you killed.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Thanks fellas.

Matt has sold me on MB (again). I don't tend to spare the Ghouls - and MB v Norse (which are next up) could be amusing even if he doesn't have Block yet.

I'll let you know it goes on Thurs.

Cheers, d

Hope it turns out ok. I still think a ball handling skill would have been better. Guess we'll find out Thursday.

Only, if we think skills should justify themselves in every game.

Or if he dies, and then you should have taken Block!

Humph! Rode my luck for too long i guess in games :)

6T drive in the first half made it 1.1 with me to receive. Norse starts with 10 players after i'd killed his ST4 Blitzer :smoking:

Throw a Rock - i lose a Mummy with a Smashed Foot

By turn 2 i've lost another 4 players to Casualties (a wight does regenerate)

I have to make a break for it in T4. Long story short we turn each over a couple of times apiece. I try a showboating T7 play to set up a TD doing outrageous Dodge, pick up (in TZ), Dodge, Pass and Catch (in TZ). All goes according to plan and the god-damn 2D Block to Blitz the Ghoul off his marker and heading for daylight hits you know what with no RR

Even then i have a chance to protect the ball in the last turn but i chance my arm one too many times

Lost 1:2 but ..... my MB Ghould now has Block after scoring and getting a casualty

I forgot my MVP - first one to come back with a random number between 1 - 15 gets a prize.

i then need (possibly) a skill roll.

Many thanks, d

Sorted already - thanks.

Worth sacking the Mummy with -1MV? I have funds to replace. He has 5 SPPs

Cheers. d
